Information

The first Post MD (monthly doll) / Free Choice Event (FCE) release was held in 2009. Post MD Events were lotteries until they turned into regular sales in 2015. During the lotteries, customers had to post a comment on the dolls that were part of the event. Soom would then randomly pick a customer who would win the doll. Offered dolls were exact the same as they were released before, with the same head/body combination, sometimes even with the same optional parts (such as clothes, eyes, wigs, shoes, etc.). Post MD Events are not exclusively for previous Monthly Dolls, but also for previous Special Order dolls, like re-releases of MDs.

The Free Choice Events allow a combination of options that normally would not be possible through Sooms page, such as the head from doll A, the body from doll B and Color C. During these option events, Soom did not allowed orders like Head A + Body A in Color A, means it has to be a doll that was not sold before regularly. They also offered resin colors that these dolls were not sold with in the past. In most cases it was only the fantasy version that was offered.

Soom themselve are not consistent with the terms 'Free Choice Event' and 'post MD Event', so they will be divided by regular sales and lotteries.
