Adopted Threads Progress

I've adopted four Lati Yellow threads and am in the process of taking notes on each thread. When I'm finished I'll edit it together and move the information to the line page. :)

Thread Progress

Findings

General Lati

  • FANTASTIC SIZE COMPARISON IMAGE HERE!
  • You can buy a doll outside of order periods, but you have to buy head and body separately which costs more.
  • Lati marks down the value of the doll on the customs form, though this is illegal...
  • Latidoll generally opens 4 times a year, I'd say roughly March, June, September, and December

Yellow-Specific

  • Lati Yellow are about 1/6, or playscale, sized.
  • Eye sizes: Different eye sizes suit different sculpts. All Lati dolls are shipped with 14mm eyes, but sculpts with smaller eye holes (Cookie, Byurl, Pury, Laches) suit smaller eye sizes (12mm or even 10mm - at least one has 8mm in Cookie). Mystics may look better with 12mm but it is the owner's preference. (Lea, Miel and Lumi 12mm, Benny, Lami 14, Cookie, Byurl, Pury, Laches 10)
  • Wigs that fit: size 5-6 or 5.5 (Rosenlied wigs for Mondays child fit)
  • Lati brand wigs, dark AND light ones, are very prone to staining your doll. Beware!
  • Lots of different "pointy-eared" versions...devils, original vampires, elves, dragons, unicorns, and lately limited Bayer
  • Used to offer magnetic hands and feet but no longer do (I believe, check on website)
  • Two body types - old and Renewal. Link to lati post explaining differences All new Latis are shipped on Renewal unless you request the old body.
  • Different sculpts have different head sizes. Lea is puportedly the largest, while sculpts like Pury , Laches and Cookie are smallest. Therefore, wigs might be looser..
  • Lati NS resin has been getting lighter and lighter, and may appear almost WS (as of 2011)

Clothes Compatibility

  • Yellow SP *may* fit CH Bisou Ai and Kish Riley clothes
    • (may have trouble with Riley trousers bc SP have larger bottoms)
    • (Riley shoes are good for Yellow Renewal, some Riley shoes may need socks to fit)
    • (Riley arms/legs are longer than Lati so short sleeves might be best. Fits SP better than renewal.)
  • Bratz tops, skirts and dresses work great on Latis and similar-sized BJDs - the glasses fit fine, too, and so do the caps on not-so-poufy wig
  • Blythe tops may work as Lati dresses
  • RRG shoes only for renewal
  • Volks Who's That Girl may fit Lati SP, but some may fit Bisou AI better. It varies.
  • Thaelia said recently that SOME Volks clothing fit the Sp body. Also that they can often swap clothing with Bisou Ai (comparison pic). Meguone says that Ginny and Madame Alexander clothing is too big. Moonbeam said that Riley Kish clothes are generally a good fit, but Dambuster01 mentioned that trousers often don't fit around the hips.

Hybrids

  • Though Fairyland Pukifee dolls are approx. the same size, Lati head + PKF body doesn't quite work - PKF have skinny necks which are set very far back on the head and LY heads have larger neck holes, so it doesnt really work
  • same size as Jaime doll, Bobobie? I think?
  • Bisou AI body and SP body are roughly the same height
  • Jaime Doll and renewal are match ("neck width is slightly off so she can't look up very far")
  • Pukifee vs old body

Notes

  • White/White SP, Green, and partial list of Yellow/Yellow SP measurements have been moved to their line pages.
  • I was going to do these as tables, as I think Wikipedia's tables are the bomb, but they do not look the same in this wiki and would probably be confusing to the amateur editor. I will stick with lists for now.

Style Guide

  • Include info about gendered bodies in introduction, not with numbers/measurements, since the genders don't seem to make a difference in size (minus the boy parts :P)
  • Include a space between the measurement/number and the unit (cm, mm, etc.) (source)
  • Abbreviate units (cm instead of centimeters, etc.). Do not put a period after the abbreviation.
  • Begin name of measurement with a capital letter (Height, not height)

Planetdoll Tiny Clothing section

Clothing

  • Blythe shirts and skirts fit, pants do not.
  • Barbie clothing: Riz's ands are large, so long sleeved shirts are difficult to put on. Skirts fit, but end up high on the hips. Pants to not fit. Dresses generally fit, but are a bit big in the bust.
  • Anotherspace Yo-SD does not fit.
  • http://www.leeann.ca/ May fit (May be a bit big)
  • Agnes Dreary/Tonner boy tights and shorts fit; jackets and shirts are too large.
  • Tonner Alice/Marley: Only the skirts fit properly (around the waist), everything else is too large.
  • Agnes Dreary Dead Sleep outfit set fits well
  • Re-ment clothing fits well
  • Spampy clothing fits

Shoes

Shoes around 37-40mm length and 18-20mm width fit best.

Brands that fit: Madame Alexander Lissy, Agnes Dreary, Lati Yellow SP, Obitsu 27cm male (slim) / Volks' WTG boy, Heidi Plusczok's Becky, Boneka/Dianna Effner 10" dolls, Ruby Red Galleria/Kish Senson, Bluette, Tonner flat feet BJD

Brands that don't fit: Ixtee boots (too small)

  • 12" Blythe Pullip Micro: Micro shoe sizes are almost too small, but fit. The Slightly larger ones fit, but are a bit big.
  • Tonner's Marley Wentworth are a bit small; ballet shoes/white clogs both look like they squish the doll's feet. The Penny Loafers (40mm ones) are tight, but they do look okay. However, they will not fit with socks.

Wigs

4.5-4.75" wigs are the best for fit. If it's smaller than that, the wig cap should be stretchy. If it's larger than that, the wig will either need to be modded, or have something put on the doll's head to keep the wig on.

Brands that fit: Blushed Roses 4-5, Tinybear, sewaddicted, Custom House Bisou AI-sized, Ruby Red Galleria Bisou AI wigs, Monique 4-5

Too large: Lati Yellow, Monique 5-6 and 6-7

Too small: Leeke 3-4, Monique 4

  • Kemper 4-5" are hit-or-miss, some will fit, some won't.
  • Monique 4" are too small, 4-5" fit, 5-6" and 6-7" are too large.
  • JPop 5-6" fits well, a bit loose, velcro or a wig cap would fix the problem.
  • Dollmore 4-5" may be a tad too big.
