Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     Shimo is super chill and (thus far) has no particular preference for any type of clothing; provided it fits on the oldskin body she would probably wear anything.
    She follows the themed of this house with her blunt-bang, straight black hair and massive head.
  • Name story:
    She's technically white-skin so I wanted a wintery name and thought this one was cute and suits her well. "Shimo" means "frost" in Japanese.
    As for her last name, I came across the kanji 縁 which can be read as "en" and among other things means "origin". By combining it with 紅 which can be read as "ku" I could name her after the sculptor who brought us the original F-01 and modern BJDs as we know them, Akihiro Enku, although using different kanji.

    Wherever she goes, Shimo is forever asleep, relaxed and at peace. She may wake up someday.
    She occasionally sleepwalks but is rarely seen doing so.Azuki knew her when they were young is thus the only one to have seen her awake in quite some time.
    Yumeko, Yumemi, and a future third girl (SDM Megu), the Three Friends of Winter, are related to her somehow, maybe.
    Shimo is the spirit of winter and snow, when the plum, pine and bamboo come together she'll wake up and bring a proper long/cold winter back to the land every year until the next spirit of winter appears.

    Maybe the spring is threatening to melt her?
    She is currently a guest in the Amano household and everyone seems to be pretty fond of her.
