1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

  • Face-up artist(s):
    Krowbar
    Date of acquisition:
    Summer 2020
    Provenance:
    Purchased directly from Krowbar and Nanyalin. He is a hand-cast by Krowbar rather than a pro-cast release, and can be seen on their past sales page at https://magicmirror.carrd.co/ He did not come with a CoA, but there are no recasts.
    Reason for choice:
    He's quite Blood Elven in appearance; Nanyalin has made that clear. I also liked the spindly shape of his anatomy, the elegant feel that it has. Had I waited for a pro-cast, I would have ordered him in gray, but at the time I wasn't sure if he would ever receive one, so I jumped on this one.
    Best Points:
    *Nicely-rendered face with long ears that aren't overly delicate
    *Expressiveness. I particularly like his hands.
    *Extremely effective torso joint. He can slouch and pull back, and rocks to the sides with ease.
    Worst Points:
    *Despite tightening him as much as I dare, he's not a very balanced doll, and struggles to stand without buckling, even with sueding and wiring to reinforce him. The weakness seems to be in the knees. Very similar to the larger Dollstown girls. It's a crippling flaw for such a well-designed doll, and having owned other pieces of Nanyalin's work, he's an exception to the majority.

    *He's bigger than I'd thought he'd be, and this makes clothing him a problem. I'm going to try the thinner SartoriaJ clothes, as the measurements seem close, but for now the jury is out on 'what fits'.
  • Eyes:
    (Temp) Unknown resin 8mms
    Wig:
    (Temp) Monique blonde synthetic 6-7 (It's too large, but a smaller 6-7 seems like the right range)
    Fashion style(s):
    Leathers and furs, High-waisted pants, Tall boots, Blouses, Embroidery, High Fantasy
    Key fashion accessory:
    Blindfold (But I haven't figured out how to tie one yet without messing with his faceplace tension)
    His horns were made by Tiffy- now a reborn artist.
  • Name story:
    The World of Warcraft avatar's name is 'Sacrilege', and I ran with that for a while with a more mutated, mentally unstable character. But eventually I decided to unify most of my demon hunter characters into former squad-mates for RP convenience. 'Belagath' was loosely derived from 'Bela Lugosi, but make it fantasy'. Keeping it close to the roots.
    Character age:
    Unknown. Presumably older than he looks
    Character gender:
    Male
    Offsite roleplay:
    This doll's character is available for offsite roleplay.
    Belagath was dead. Had been for years. That was the verdict on paper, no matter who you asked. In Quel'thelas, he was legally deceased after a period of fruitless searching. The Illidari pinned his demise some short months before the fall of the Black Temple. In a disaster mission worthy of the books, the team he served fell apart trying to defuse a Legion battalion's march upon a draenei settlement that sat between the demons and a hunter outpost. During the last dregs of the battle, footsoldiers overpower him, and he was last seen being dragged away, kicking and screaming, into a portal. The survivors always held out some hope, but after Illidan's death and the dismantlement of his forces, followed by imprisonment, then re-establishment to fight a second Legion invasion, finding him was low on their list of priorities.

    Meanwhile he remained a prisoner. Years spent strapped to various tables for test after examination, some brief, some brutal. His body stretched and spread to resemble the demon he consumed as it was pumped full of fel magic, then drained, over and over again to observe the effects. His muscles waned to near-nothingness without basic movement to sustain them. By the time he was found, he was little more than a breathing skeleton, desperately praying for death.

    Fortunately those days are over. Unfortunately they have changed him irrevocably.

    Belagath is the sort of poster child people hold up to warn others away from the Illidari. He is the demon hunter gone wrong- unable to fully shift between 'altered elf' and 'powerful mutation', stuck somewhere in between after so much bodily magical abuse. And his perception is fragile, tinted with PTSD. But his lucid thoughts are still pragmatic. Considering. His is a quiet nature, prone to thought before action, and despite being a capable combatant, his role had been that of field medic. Sadly the distressing nature of certain equipment prevents him from serving in that capacity anymore. But he still caries a small kit on him. Just in case.

    Because he's not done yet. He can never be; not while threats on par with Sargearas still loom on Azeroth's horizon. If you asked him where he was today, he would probably say 'sabbatical', because 'in recovery' might make him sound incapable. And if there is anything he is determined not to seem, it is that. Whatever he can do, whatever he's still capable of, he will give. Where that limit sits cannot be known until it is tested.

    He is mostly resigned to filling a true hunter's profile, helping individual contractors and any authorities who will have him track down threats, anomalies, and missing persons or objects of a magical nature. Assisting in their apprehension if needbe. In his spare time he is devoted to reading, meditation, and nurturing small gardens, which he still raises for medicinal purposes. Recently he has taken an interest in visiting the Kaldorei lands of Kalimdor- something he long dreamed of, but never seemed possible during the wars. Now more than ever, healing his mental health has become a priority instead of an optional objective, and he looks for the small personal opportunities along the way to larger, more selfless objectives.
