Camille Starfall is half human, half Elf, born in the Free Lands. As a halfbreed, the humans and elves were not kind to her. Her parents were killed in a freak accident. Camille ended up at what was derogatorily called, Miss Lucy’s School for Wayward Girls. It was, in fact, St. Lucille’s Orphanage, run by human and elves. Camille and Dylan Greysnayl were in the same orphanage and as outsiders and rejects for reasons they didn’t understand, Camille & Dylan became fast friends.

There was a history of young men and women disappearing from the Free Lands. It was years before the pipeline was shut down and the local collaborators punished.
One day, when she was 10, Camille was kidnapped from St. Lucille’s playground, right in front of Dylan and taken to the Takashima compound. Although not in the experimental cohort, she spent a lot of time in Dr. Blenkinsop’s clinic, being poked, prodded, scanned, and run through every noninvasive test possible.
Camille gave so much blood as a child, she wondered how she had any left. She still has nightmares about vampires.
Camille became a team assistant at Takashima. She is on the team with Marcus, Sam, Keaton and Peyton. -
