It was mostly because of how adorable she was. The Ante sculpt is just too cute.

Best Points:

She posed really well (when I got her, anyway. She's a few years old now and needs to be restrung). She was able to stand on one foot straight out of the box.

Worst Points:

She has a number of seam lines and you can see the magnets in her back, though that's apparently common with most dolls.

Name story:

After a few years of her being nameless I asked my family members for ideas. One suggested 'Clarisse', which I ended up changing slightly to be 'Clara'. It reminded me of one of my favourite pieces 'Clair de lune' so I used that for her last name.

Clara is a very quiet and timid little girl that lost her parents at a young age. She was sent to live in an overcrowded orphanage and would often slip away unnoticed to visit the library, as her mother used to take her there almost daily when she was still alive. It was there that she met Captain Davies, a captain in the British Calvary that was interested in creating his own school for orphaned and abandoned children to prevent them from becoming 'undisciplined ruffians'. She ended up becoming his first pupil, and it didn't take long for the two to become quite close, despite the captain's cold exterior and Clara's timidness.
