Not a fault of the doll/sculpt, but when I received her, she'd been poorly packed and had a broken spot. I was able to glue it back together, but it still shows and I don't know how long my fix will hold.

Emily Vanessa Kingston

I wanted a somewhat old-fashioned but still modern name, and always liked Emily (often nicknamed Emmy or Em). Her middle name came from the sculpt she was originally going to be before I found her last shell. Her last name came about because of her older brother (his character came first) so I gave her the family name.

Emily is quiet, soft-spoken, and ladylike but with a lively streak once she gets to know someone. She's the middle child of her family, having an older brother (Jack - 2 years older) and a younger sister (Aubrey - 10 months younger due to being born premature). She lost most of her eyesight at age 6, due to an illness, but can still see shadows and very bright colors, especially when wearing her glasses and/or things are very close to her face. Going through this illness as a small child brought her and Jack much closer together and they've stayed close ever since. She's currently in her sophomore year of college, double majoring in Astrophysics and Music Performance (for violin and cello, at which she’s very proficient), and works as a private tutor for six students from the high school for the blind from which she graduated. Recently, she's moved into her own one bedroom apartment, after a year living with her best friend, Claudia, who is her complete opposite - loud, hyper, "shameless" (as Emily often calls her), and colorful - but they get along perfectly. Her other best friend, Vivi, is a pro wrestler she met through her brother. Most of her close friends often call her Em or Emmy, but her mom has called her "Goldfinch" since she was a baby due to the sound she used to make. She also spends a lot of time with her beloved seeing eye dog, Jasper, a 3-year-old blue merle tri-color Australian Shepherd. When not spending time with friends or family, she enjoys reading (Braille), playing violin or cello, doing needlepoint or knitting, almost always with Jasper at her feet. She'll also never say no to blueberry pancakes.
