Reason for choice:

My first ever legit BJD I purchased, I got her because I loved her face and she was the only 1/3 size doll in my price range

Best Points:

her serene face, beautiful subtle face-up, and lovely smooth dark tan resin colour

Worst Points:

The lack of a thigh mobility joint, and the fact her face is weirdly flat which always makes her look like she's tucking her chin lol. also, she is HEAVY, and that makes posing her and dressing her a tad bit cumbersome.

Name story:

I wanted a unique sounding name that could be shortened into a more simple nickname, and I love names from greek myth, hence Eurydice, which is shortened to Eury (pronounced Yuri)

Eurydice Iris McNamara attends a prestigious private all-girls university and is enrolled in its Arts program. Her major was originally a double of Musical Theory & Composition and Classical Ballet, but halfway through her 2nd year, she was diagnosed with scoliosis as well as an autoimmune disease, which led her to develop an illness that caused her to lose her hearing. By the time she recovered, she was completely deaf, and after a difficult adjustment period, she started the next school year with a new major; Poetry.
Without her hearing, she could no longer listen to or hear herself play the piano and violin as she did before, and her scoliosis prevented her from dancing like used to. She learned to channel the grief and longing she felt into writing by composing poetry much like how she would compose music. In writing this poetry she could fill the void of isolation her illness caused her to fall into, and in turn it taught her to appreciate her new life and the perspective it gave her. She ended up meeting her now-girlfriend, Sumiko, while learning sign-language, where Miko was a student-teacher. The two became fast friends, and after a few months and an awkward signed confession from Eury, they became the happy couple they are now.
If you asked her now, Eury would tell you that, althrough she's still learning to be patient and come to terms with how much her life has changed, she is proud of who she is and what she's achieved. Though she still has spells of depression or frustration over what she misses, it's usually directed at the fact the world around her isn't built for people with disabilities, something she wishes to help change. She has found many adaptations to allow her to enjoy some fraction of her former life, and many more that allow her to enjoy the world around her in new ways that are just as fulfilling.
