Freja is half-Japanese, half-Swedish. She spent her early childhood in Sweden, growing up in a well-to-do family with high expectations in regards to academics. She obliged them and spent the majority of her time studying, but despite her near-perfect academic performance, they continued to grow stricter with her.

Her only outlet was when she would sneak out in the late evenings to LARP with her cousin, Lucas. During the day, she was a dedicated student, but at night, she would become the druid-princess named Fae, battling dragons and ogres alongside her most trusted bard-knight, Lunar. The two cousins became very close, and perhaps a bit careless when their outings became an almost daily occurrence. At first she loved Lucas as family, but at some point it turned into a bit of a puppy love. Never taking it too seriously, she kept this feeling to herself.

That is, apart from the diary she wrote in. She'd begun logging details of their sessions together during the hours she was meant to be studying. On a whim, she decided to confess her feelings in an entry. Unfortunately, her father walked in during this and discovered her diary. Upon reading it, both of her parents became outraged. They believed Lucas was acting as a negative influence and being inappropriate with Freja. Convinced that Sweden was not a good fit for their daughter, the family picked up and moved to Japan, where they expected Freja to work harder in the more competitive academic environment. Though heartbroken and angry, Freja dedicated herself entirely to school. Her relationship with her family suffered severely, and as a small act of defiance, she decided to adopt her LARPing name; Fae.

Now, Fae has graduated high school with outstanding credentials. As a last snub to her parents, she has moved back to Sweden for college and decided to reconnect with Lucas/Lunar.
