Reason for choice:

Love at first sight. I actually fell in love with the Vings68v.2 body first, and it so happened that Seira also caught my eye. I looked at him long enough that he gave me a fully-formed character with a name. This, good folk of the world, is THE textbook way to persuade Vega/aihre to bring you home.

Best Points:

He's beautiful all over. He has an interesting face that seems to change expression with lighting and viewing angle. Vings68v.2 is remarkably good at posing and standing on both flat feet and heels, and always looks elegant while doing it.

Worst Points:

He may be a stable poser but he's not pleasant to wrangle. The joint engineering on his body is snappy with sharp edges everywhere - great for chewing on clothes and snapping into "preferred" positions that aren't what I want! His arms are particularly bad culprits; wiring them helps a bit.

His bird aspect is a sarus crane, and his season is high summer.

We think Gael was never meant to come to the sanctuary. Something must've happened to Oshidori's original companion, so he accompanied her instead. Angels who arrive at the sanctuary are not allowed to leave, so he was stuck here and not pleased about it. But he kept the promises he made ... and now he's found more reasons to stay.

They say he's a singer, but we've never heard him utter a sound. We don't think he can.

"It's so rare to find a white seraph outside the presence of God. I'd never known one to look away from the glory, let alone leave their post like he did. I wonder what compelled Gael to volunteer to come, and then, to submit to the sanctuary and containment."

"Oh, Gael... words can't express how grateful I am to him. He wasn't sent here, not like us. I needed someone to bring me here to the house after my brother abandoned me, and he volunteered. We'd never met before, you know: we black ones seldom cross paths with the white ones. Yet Gael would do this for someone he didn't know, and he chose to stay, and keep on staying, even though it cost him so much. He told me all about it, after I awoke and recovered, and we learned the sign. He's been such a friend to me. So serious, though. I appreciate how he looks out for me, but goodness, he should learn how to enjoy himself, laugh a bit more! Well, as much as he can laugh, since he has no voice now. Oh, that is a loss. But he smiles more, now that he's with my brother. And when he's around Finch -- I can't believe a malakh managed to befriend Gael. They're like night and day! I'm glad that Gael is so much happier these days."


Hayk says,
Gael misses the heavens. He shouldn't be here. If I hadn't left my sister then, trying to draw off the attack on us, he wouldn't need to bring her here. He's only here because of what I did. At first, he wanted to return. I could see his longing, his gaze always looking to the sky. I already loved him then, but I didn't want to stand in his way. I would not have said anything, but I guess I couldn't hide it in the end. Sometimes I wish he'd gone back like he always wanted. But I'm glad he decided to stay for everyone... for me. So glad. He's a gift. He likes to go out walking. Sometimes he brings me to the ocean. It's the closest he'll get to the heavens. One day, we'll go back.
