Acquired as a gift from a friend who is no longer in the hobby.

Reason for choice:

My friend, FensElgen, bought him new from Luts back in 2006 or 2007. However, she's busy with a husband and kids and doesn't have time for her dolls anymore. She sold most of them, but gave Galadhen to me to keep, because I planned to have Elendae, and Galadhen will always hold a special place in my heart.

Galadhen would prefer to wear loose fitted clothing, a very bohemian-style of dress, but... he's in a rock band, an alternative metal band to be exact, and he spends a lot of time NOT wearing those things. He wears a lot of black tight-fitting dresses and Elendae's signature coat (which I'm still in the process of making, because my pattern is not cooperating). He also wears boots and heels. Not his favorite thing, but he tolerates it.

Name story:

Galadhen's real name is Tredorn. He was given the name "Galadhen" by Thranduil when he came to work for him as a healer.

Galadhen's background is a little muddy. He was born to Arnaedh's sister Anendil and another member of their clan, Cianar. Cianar was not a GOOD guy, not to say that Arnaedh's a GOOD guy either, but he was better than Cianar. Cianar led Arnaedh on for YEARS, before finally marrying his twin sister and having Galadhen. Arnaedh killed Cianar, because Cianar questioned the validity of Galadhen's birth and killed Anendil. Not to say that he wasn't RIGHT to question that validity, but killing your wife is not really the way to go about doing it.

Galadhen is Ferennen and Lairelosse's half brother. When Anendil died and Cianar was killed, Arnaedh took in Galadhen and raised him as his own, because he WAS family and family is everything to Arnaedh. Arnaedh is a follower of Melkor, and when Cianar died, Arnaedh took both his children and Galadhen and ran off to find his own members who followed the same ideology. He has several close confidants: Nula, Lai, and Tara.

Tara is a healer and taught Galadhen all that he knew: ways to heal, ways to hurt, ways to save, ways to kill. Eventually, Galadhen left to make his own way and was accepted into the court of Thranduil Oropherion, where he remained for several decades before meeting Elendae.

Elendae was called into the picture when Sauron was hiding in Dol Guldor and causing Thranduil and his people a lot of trouble. There the two of them met and decidedly did NOT like each other. Elendae was on the arrogant side, due to the power that he had, and Galadhen had no time for him. However, due to some meddling from Elrond's twin sons and a bottle of miruvor, Galadhen and Elendae woke up next to each other the following morning. It was not love at first sight. It took a lot of work and Elendae often had to admit that he was some times an unpleasant person, but eventually they came together and mated.
