Reason for choice:

Gorgeous sculpt, she felt like a very kind looking doll, which I think is a good choice for an initial doll. The red hair and grey eyes in the promo picture really sold me on her too.

Best Points:

Her initial hands are beautiful and her face really sparks joy for me.

Worst Points:

Came floppy in the abdomen body area and hips, oddly that ankle joints and the chest are a little harder to move.

I commissioned some blushing and face-up work for her and am incredibly pleased with the fantastic job Andy and their team did not only with the end result, but the prompt, kind communication they consistently used. I wish I was less anxious about being "on time" for them though, haha. They also fixed her ankle for me for free, which I thought was really kind of them too.

I put off buying this doll so much I couldn't buy her with her makeup done by iplehouse, so I had to get her done with a custom face-up. The freckles add a lot of life and I'm so happy with her. My sister bought me her wig as a Christmas present and it's beautiful in person.
The eyes I wanted to match the iplehouse ones as best as I could find in tone and in shade. I'm very likely to go find a second pair if I don't like the ones I bought.
I actually found some gorgeous eyes from the same maker as Korone's, I just haven't had the willpower to photograph them somewhere nice.

Name story:

Growing up, I did a lot of ballet, and both her first and last name are based on two famous ballets. I like the name Giselle a lot, it feels elegant, but the ballet is rather tragic. Coppellius is based on a character in "Coppellia" named Dr. Coppellius. He's a doll maker, which I felt was fitting. I didn't want to name her Coppellia, so we were stuck with the last name Coppellius.
I also completely forgot about the Disney movie Enchanted, weirdly enough I feel like Giselle's personality really is similar to Giselle in the movie too even though I didn't watch the movie.

Backstory:
She was made by Gepetto in order to take over his business of doll making, since his children did not want to. The soft blue crystal she is powered by was gifted to him by a member of Titania's court that had heard his wish. Gepetto had been kind to the disguised fairy one winter's night, letting her into his warm workshop and giving her food and drink even as she looked like an old beggar. Gepetto doesn't know this however.

She's lived a very peaceful existence making porcelain dolls similar to herself, and people marvel at their work and the beautiful doll that greets them. She also got taught by Gepetto on how to be an artificer. His dolls all technically are infused objects, but they are sold as ordinary toys.
Gepetto has had many requests to make more like Giselle, and he has turned down each and every one, stating that Giselle has plenty of siblings. The guild has also been adamant that he can't make more without being booted out as well.

She's known Albrecht all her life, and has secretly admired how kind he is in his own stoic way. She's pretty oblivious about his obvious affection for her though.

Personality:
Some words others would describe Giselle as peaceful, gentle, sweet, soft, and kind. They're all very true, but some things people might forget about her is that she is very honest and open. Does it cause friction with her bf sometimes? Yes. But they both care about each other in the long run.
