Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. Ikaika Soon Li – 22, a.k.a. Kai, was born in Seoul, Korea to Mihno Li, a project developer for an internet communications firm, and Olivia (Hanson) Li, an Executive Secretary for the U.S. Embassy in Seoul. He has a younger sister, Mia. When he was five Kai moved with his family from Seoul to the United States. When he was eight, his family moved to New Britain, Connecticut and was interested in drawing and painting from a young age.

His artwork, which had been self-taught and a lifelong hobby, blossomed and evolved as he began expressing his true self on his drawing board as well as in his life. His infatuation for the surreal took his art in a more self-expressive direction. During this same period he transitioned from oils to soft pastels. Thus began his journey of creating beautiful fantasy paintings primarily with fingers and, as he refers to pastels, “colorful dust.”
While the surreal is a cornerstone of his work, he thinks of the images he creates not as the focus but as messengers of moments, thoughts, and emotions he’s wishing to express. -
