Worst Points:

Crobidoll is not the best company for posing, and his head is a little large on his shoulders (but not to the point it's off putting) however his character needed to be short enough as he's a shorty compared to the other characters in his story and the rest of the body's aesthetics are on point so... I deal with it.

He's also terrifyingly bad for my wallet.

Name story:

Kim Taemin is also known as Taneda Kentarou depending on which side of the family you ask, his parents named him for what they wished him to become. Kentarou is Japanese 健太郎 which means "healthy & big son", whereas Taemin is Korean 태민 from 泰民 meaning "great person".

Son to a pair of wealthy real estate agents, Taemin moved from Seoul to Fukuoka in Japan when he was about eleven years old. Initially bullied for his broken Japanese and "exotic" looks he was quickly befriended by one Satou Akira, a rowdy delinquent kid in his class who stood up for him and defended him, eventually becoming his best mate for years to come.

Taemin was just finishing University when he flunked out, too in love with his girlfriend then, to follow his dream of being with her. At the time he could have never expected that just a few months later his life would get thrown upside down when he got trapped inside a collapsing building due to a powerful earthquake. Although he was rescued in time he lost both legs to the accident, which slowly led him into debilitating depression as his lifestyle collapsed around him, his girlfriend disappeared and he had to begin literally from scratch.

Thankfully, as he came from a wealthy background, no expense was spared in his recovery and his family, as well as Akira (and his brother, Ryou) were by his side every (literal) step along the way as he learned to walk on prosthesis and got back on track.

Ten or so years later, Taemin now runs a mobility aid store in Fukuoka alongside Yokota-kun, a flighty air-headed young man who he's taken under his wing. It is there that he meets government agent Miyamoto Keiichi and through him Ikeda Satoru who is desperately starved for hope and light and becomes an integral force in Satoru's own recovery in turn.
