Reason for choice:

I loved how sweet & versatile the 06 sculpt was. At the time, I uttered the infamous doll curse ("I'm only getting one!") So I wanted a doll that would encompass the perfect personality I had in mind, because she was going to be my one & only! (HAHA WRONG) Though I have 8 dolls now, shes still the closest to my heart.

Best Points:

One thing I love about the white skin is that it shows up so well in less than stellar lighting. Lighting tends to be very flattering on her, except overexposure. I love how soft the DD bodies are, almost cuddly. I feel it adds to the "tiny person" feel. The best part of course is the amazing posing! No kickiness, no floppiness, no fuss. Just perfect posing every time.

Worst Points:

The downside to every DD is the staining. I once stained Kohana after I freshly dyed my own hair. After holding her against me during a walk she had purple stains. Thankfully they came out.

Kohana was my first DD that I bought as a present to myself for my birthday back in 2015. She is not rare or worth a ton, but she holds the most sentimentality to me which makes her priceless. I initially did her faceup myself, and it suited her perfectly. Unfortunately my materials were inferior and her faceup began cracking after 2 years. That's when my bff bought a brand new white skin 06 head and secretly commissioned Vitta Vera to recreate and improve Kohana's original faceup, so it would stand the test of time! She surprised me with Kohanas new and improved head as an early birthday gift in 2017. ^.^

Name story:

The day all of Kohana's items came in the mail & she was fully assembled, a tree that had seemingly been dead burst into bloom outside my apartment! It was like some kind of sign. So I knew I had to give her a flowery name. This is also why her character became a nature spirit that makes flowers bloom!

Kohana is sweet, nurturing, kind & compassionate. She is poised, but fusses over those she cares about like a mother hen. She is a nature spirit & encourages flowers to grow in spring, and takes great pride in making the world a more verdant place. She is quiet & refined, enjoys drinking floral tea & tending to her garden. She prefers soft music like classical piano, harp and flute. She hates aggression and confrontation and always searches for solutions that come from a place of understanding, compromise & diplomacy. She has a younger sister, Clover, who greatly looks up to her.
