Kuu was completely unplanned. I had seen him posted on Penguin's IG and was seriously in love as I'd been dying for a more punky boy and he just was a perfect match to what I wanted. As it was a Y!J auction I assumed there was no way he'd stay within my budget, which was very low. Amazingly, he did. In fact, it seemed like no one was bidding on him and I won him below budget. It was instant love and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with him. It really felt meant to be!

I wanted a doll that would wear something closer to what I would where personally. I decided to focus on red and black due to his face-up but also the hair/ear/tail colors. I'm a huge fan of doing monochromatic or semi-monochromatic and so I focused hard on those specific colors. I think punk and goth will be his main styling but I hope to branch out into similar fashion in the future.

Name story:

One of the meanings for Kuu is crimson or dark red. One of the meanings for Mori is forest which I linked back to the wolf aspect of himself. Additionally, I just like saying Kuu Mori

Kuu is a rebel, but not really. If anything he is exactly what you expect when you look at him. Due to the exposure from a older neighbor he grew up loving rock, metal and similar genres of music, especially the western/english bands. Kuu was dedicated enough to study english so he could understand the music he was listening to. Between his homeland (Japan) and the western music scenes he built his appearance around them. In his early teens he convinced his mother to get him a guitar which started his devotion to learning how to play instruments and studying music in general. After feeling it out he found that he was most attracted to the bass. Vocals and lyrics weren't his strong suit though he managed to be relatively decent at growling. Music composing was what he was successful at though and with time he slowly built up a small band out of friends with similar interests. Kuu chose to not continue education feeling that music school wouldn't assist him in any form, choosing to instead continue the grind and gain the experience from playing shows, watching other bands play and interacting within the music scene. These days you can find him either in his room playing his bass and composing songs, with his band practicing or out in the clubs or bars supporting other local bands. He supplements his income by working part-time at bar as a waiter and occasional bartender. Luckily he can save on housing due to living in a shared home.
