  • Name story:
    Lucas MacLaren

Lucas after Luke Hemmings, and also an old friend.
His last name was supposed to be Hayden, but I was having trouble bonding and had the doll hang out with me for a few days. During that time, it seemed the name MacLaren popped up everywhere--books, movies, online. I took it as a sign I had it wrong and changed it.
    Character age:
He ages in real time, but his birthdate is March 26, 1998.
    Character gender:
    male
    Offsite roleplay:
This doll's character is available for offsite roleplay.
Luc was the weird kid in school. The creepy shy one, the outcast, the socially awkward one. Some feared him, but most bullied him. He did his best to ignore it, but sometimes it was too much and almost pushed him off the deep end. He didn't drink, smoke, do drugs, got straight As, didn't party, didn't fight, has never been in trouble. He gets his aggression out on the gun/archery ranges and through writing and gaming. He graduated first in his class, left high school and never looked back. Now he's in college as a film major, realizing there are good people out there, and has made some friends and lightened up a lot.

Funny side note here: I had the hardest time bonding to Luc for the first week or so that I had him. I couldn't feel a connection, and I jokingly blame his negativity and instability on the fact that he "wasn't loved", but truth be told, his character is the embodiment of my teen years, the feelings I dealt with and bullying I endured. There are of course some differences, and I won't go into depth on that here, except to say it's funny I had similar issues liking this doll as I did liking myself when I was his age.
