Odessy is currently the first in line princess to the Kingdom of Gossamer. The country is a secluded place, almost exclusively populated by Fae. Many seek the powers of the Fae people, especially the royal family, particularly their ability to control air ships, as without this, trade would come completely to a halt.

As a result of this, Odessy lives a very sheltered and isolated lifestyle. Her best friend is Quill, a half fae and her personal bodyguard. While Quill loves her dearly, does not like to put up with her often rebellious nature. Even if she poses to take the thrown as Queen one day, she deeply resents this, wanting a more free lifestyle, away from the constant, constraining politics of the High Court.

Odessy, though not happy with the choices made for her, tolerates her situation as best she can until one evening, life changes for her, she starts getting dreams of her twin brother dying. This occurs night after night from that point onward. Odessy was told long ago, her twin brother was killed in a raid when they were children. However, after doing some rather secreted researching, she finds this not to be true, he was kidnapped, but never confirmed dead.

With the dreams as vivid as they are, Odessy believes them to be true. If she is able to find her twin brother, she can not only save his life, but she will no longer be first in line to be Queen, it will go to her brother. With this in mind, she escapes the kingdom with Quill, trying to find her brother Olossen before it is too late
