Provenance:

Bought secondhand from Instagram seller with original box and CoA. Seems to have original faceup from the faceup artist that Black Cherry uses for their dolls, it looks similar to other faceups by that artist and the doll was in somewhat new condition when I received her.

Reason for choice:

I love her sweet little face and cute body. I saw her available secondhand with eyes, wig and faceup included and decided to buy the listing.

Best Points:

Pretty body with cute round joints at the shoulders and waist. Faceplate system allows for easy change of eyes and other faceplates without entirely removing the tiny head. Hands and feet are not secured by magnets but strung onto the body, and adorable little ballet feet were included with the doll. Personally, I prefer hands and feet with s hooks and not magnets because they stay more securely onto the doll and there is no possibility of the magnet itself coming loose, because there are no magnets in the first place.

Worst Points:

The joints are cute, but don't keep poses well. Doll did not stand for very long and prefers a sitting position.

Name story:

Petal is a house brownie, and mythical creatures in my story use names of objects as alternate names to keep their true names secret. Petal chose her name when she first held a soft petal of a rose that one of the children brought inside.

Character age:

She came into existence when the foundation for the house was placed, about 40 years ago.

Character gender:

No idea, house brownies and other spirits don't usually have a specific gender, but she doesn't mind she/her pronouns.

Petal is a friendly brownie who appears and disappears at will throughout the house. She doesn't venture outside often, but will occasionally wander the grounds to greet the various other creatures who live in the area. She sometimes will bring curios from the house to her local fairy ring market to sell. These items can include small household objects that Aleister or the children believe to have simply misplaced. Like all brownies, Petal is mischievous. However, she is also very protective of her family and her house. In exchange for the occasional missing toothbrush or spoon, she works very hard to keep everyone safe and will scare the life out of anyone who seeks to disrupt that safety.
