Primrose and Darling are the epitome of human vs. inner self. Primrose being a normal person with desires, troubled thoughts, and carrying burden on her back. Darling is her inner self, something she fears yet embraces. She listens to Darling in moments she cannot work on alone; sometimes what he says can be the wrong answer but she trust him to the fullest extent.

Darling can be anything; trauma from the past, mental illness, perhaps even your conscience. Whatever you see him as is up to you as Prim and Darling simply represent humans as a whole.

Prim wears layers upon layers of clothing, a symbol of layering her true self, her beauty, and what she is. She is fearful that people will see her other than what she makes people see. She layers her clothes with pockets which she holds trinkets in, perhaps a way of people seeing part of what she may be without revealing too much.

Beside Darling, Prim's main and real companion is her dog, Bunker, whom she rescued from a pound with her past lover. For him (her ex-lover), it was a way for Prim to feel less lonely as he slept with countless mistresses. Primrose was left stranded in his apartment, feeling unloved and helpless as she felt she owed him for taking her from the streets. Like many people, we depend on pets to keep us feeling whole and to make us have meaning in our lives. Bunker keeps Prim sane as Darling clings to her, at times making her truly feel she is alone with her thoughts.

    Storyline:
Primrose was brought up as an orphan, rejected by her mother due to her hemophilia at the age of 5; seen as "weak" and "hopeless" her mother feared she would taint the bloodline and would rather abandon her daughter. Her mother was a schizophrenic and many suspected Primrose would turn out the same; she was abused relentlessly by staff for this fact which caused her to be fearful of anyone and use people to her advantage when needed.

When she turned 15, she ran away from home and set out on a journey to find her calling. Her companion is her soul animal and consciousness, Darling. He guides her through trauma and pain she had faced and comforts her like her mother couldn't. That is her only illness but it seen more like a blessing for her. In truth, Darling is her schizophrenia but he is the "good voice" among the many bad.

At the age of 20, Prim has become a beggar on the streets of London, but she catches the eye of many passerbyers, mainly men. She is a beauty shrouded in mystery, with her picture being taken and spread across the internet in rapid fire. From here, she meets countless men, some wondrous and kind, many horrendous and with their own demons to face. One day, she meets a gentlemen that changes her life forever.

Primrose is timeless, her story to forever go on. To be honest with you all, every night before I sleep I imagine a new scenario of her life unfolding. It's truly enjoyable to look upon her and be so content.
