Personality: Outspoken, a liberal thinker. Somewhat rash, and prone to bouts of occasional frivolity, but she's a kind woman and truly does wish to do right by people. She is aggressive with what she wants-- her only problem is that she's indecisive and usually doesn't quite know what that is. Thankfully she usually is able to keep a sense of humor about it all, no matter how precarious her situation may be. She's grown up in a world where her family's name is enough to inspire fear and wariness, and she has learned to take advantage of it.


Background info and such: She’s not nearly as scary as she likes to pretend she is. Her family’s reputation as one of the darkest, most powerful witching lines ever to grace the magic realm affords her many benefits that her actual magical abilities cannot. Truth be told, up until a few years ago, she could barely manage elementary spells and enchantments, and the powerful curses and hexes that her ancestors used to terrorize a generation are far beyond her grasp. Not that she has any interest in cursing people. Far from it.

Hundreds of years of wicked misdeeds has earned the LeCroix line a heaping pile of bad joojoo, and in the wake of countless fatal freak accidents, stillborn children, and financial ruin, Rosamund, her two brothers and father are all that remain.

She’s made it her mission to help as many people as she possibly can, to end her family’s curse before it wipes them out completely-- or at least, that was the plan until she came to Scholomant, one of the most prestigious witching universities in the world. Her problems got way bigger after that.

She had six older siblings, (four sisters and two brothers) all of whom died from one thing or another before she was old enough to remember them-- some even before she was born. She and her brothers were only three and one respectively when the reputation of the Lacroix claimed the life of their mother. Her father is perhaps understandably protective of his remaining children, and always seems on edge, dismayed that his only living daughter is every bit as stubborn and adventurous as her mother.

Besides timespinning, the one area of magic she never had trouble with is glamour charms. Since her family's debt prevents her from purchasing the finer clothing she enjoys wearing, she's been enchanting her own clothes for years. She can make even the most worn dress or blouse in her closet appear better than new, and far more opulent than it actually is. She very much dresses beyond her means, and she's gotten so good at it that only the best magical seamstresses could see the magic imbued within the garments.
