Shuhei is a ghost. He has a vague memory of falling into a frozen lake, and he’s grounded to the living world by an intense feeling that he wanted to protect someone, but he has no way of knowing whether he was successful. Akemi gave him his name when the twins found him because he doesn’t remember his own. He figures that if he’s still in existence he might as well make the best of it and doesn’t sweat that small stuff.
