Provenance:

Ordered head from Alice's Collection and body direct from Resinsoul, I am the first owner of this doll

Reason for choice:

The head choice was mostly the eye and lip shape, it reminded of me of how the character looks in my head. I chose a Resinsoul body because this character has multiple iterations, and in each something different has happened to his left arm. I have a bag of various left arm parts waiting for blushing and mods. Resinsoul was great in working with me on that.

Best Points:

The hands are sculpted wonderfully. The resin match is just about perfect, I couldn't have planned that better if I'd tried.

Worst Points:

Resinsoul bodies are usually pretty kicky in my experience, and this one is no exception. I may have to wire him sometime. He's also, like, SUPER buff, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Shelling Sky was a long and complicated process. The character in the story a friend and I came up with in high school lives five different lives, and each one sees some fate befall his left eye and arm. To emulate this, I needed several interchangeable left arm parts, and calculating just what I needed was tough. On top of that, I wasn't sure how to hybrid him. I literally found his head sculpt while just browsing Alice's Collection. I'm so glad he's finally all here! Let the crafting begin.

He's almost always got something plaid on him, if that counts

Sky doesn't think too hard about what he wears. He likes to be comfortable and ready for anything. His best shoes are a pair of worn sneakers, his best cover-up is an old flannel shirt worn open to reveal another shirt underneath. It's not that he doesn't care, he just doesn't feel like he has to mess with something that's always worked for him.

Name story:

The name came from this character's original creator, my high school friend Ty. Over time the story has kind of become the provenance of both of us, so he's as much my character as he is hers.
