Sophia Daniela Hathaway is a stubborn party girl who doesn't want anything to do with the path that her parents have laid out for her. They want her to be a guardian, to fight like her mother does, but Sophia, being her fathers daughter, would much rather party and find a way to lure pretty much any guy she meets into her bed. She has a definite addictive personality where she easily gets hooked on things. The usuals of course, alcohol, clove cigarettes, men, but some more unique vices as well. It doesn't take much for her to get hooked. She loves her parents but hates the plans they all have for her and can not stand when her father, of all people, tells her she needs to tame her party girl ways and focus on her future. Her father also constantly pushes her to accept her sister but Sophia sees no need and fights him every time he brings it up. When Sophia graduates as a guardian and gets her promise mark she makes her way to the Royal Court to be given her guardian assignment, dreading what her future holds every step of the way. It's there she finds out that not only is she guarding an illegitimate royal... it's her own half sister who hates her (and who she really isn't very fond of either.) Now, having to be constantly at her sisters side, a sister who with her attitude finds herself in more trouble than Sophia personally thinks she's worth, she's realizing maybe she should have paid more attention during her guardian training. Strigoi are a bit scarier than she realized and even if she isn't fighting just to protect her sister, but to protect her own life as well, partying doesn't seem nearly as important as perfecting her roundhouse kick.
