MigiDoll Guy body (ver 1)
Sex:

  • Face-up artist(s):
    St. James
    Date of acquisition:
    June 27, 2010
    Provenance:
    Purchased directly from MigiDoll
    Reason for choice:
Those cheekbones! That mouth! I invented a character for the sake of that sad baby face.
    Best Points:
Nice resin. The faceplate system is well-fitted. Multiple shoulder joint locks allow the arms to support a little weight without flopping or dislocating.
    Worst Points:
Jointing is Not Good. Knees are really unattractive when bent. Torso anatomy is questionable.
Noel was released in the summer of 2010; ordering period June 28 ~ July 5. He was the first Migi to have the experimental face plate system instead of headcap. The initial release had an optional Limited Noel face that looked close to tears. By request the Limited face-plate could be purchased with a full regular Noel doll. (I have never gotten around to painting it.) Because it was made for an exhibition, the Limited Noel head did not have the same interior markings as the standard heads. The standard Noel sculpt was discontinued in July of 2013.

Migi's notice about the initial release:
New boy doll will be on sale this time with Migidoll.
The name is Noel, which head had been once displayed in the dolls exhibition last year as the limited version. This time, as a regular sale.
The limited version in the exhibition looks like crying with a bit of a frown, and also had a opened month with a hole.
The regular version had its forehead changed with the same eyes, nose, and lips as the limited version. The forehead got flat. The mouth is opened, but more tight than the limited one.
There had been no plan to sell the limited version. So many people, however, showed their great interest in it, and I decided to add it to the sale in June as a special event for Migidoll homepage renewal.
The explanation for the sad expression was as follows:
Noel was made with its concept, sad whore guy.
It might sound a bit sad, but the exhibition's message was something like, modern people are increasingly feeling loneliness in the world which continually goes on line.
I made this doll by seeing myself getting one of the modern lonely people.
It's a shame that I can not talk more about the message of the exhibition, but anyway, I focused a lot to create man's beautiful face with his sadness in thinking of his sad life.

    DollHeart
    Key fashion accessory:
    rocking horse shoes
  • Name story:
His name is an amalgam of Sverre Fehn - the Norwegian Modernist architect - and Harry Clarke - the Irish Arts & Crafts Movement illustrator - simply because I liked them and Sverre is half Norwegian and half Irish.
    Character age:
    late teens
    Character gender:
    male
    Offsite roleplay:
This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
Sverre's parents settled in East London to run their architecture firm before he was born, so he knows Dublin and Bergen only from holiday visits.
He is not at all interested in his sleek, minimalist surroundings at home and feels more comfortable hanging out in Hackney pubs and shopping boot sales.
He has an interest in psychic phenomena, dabbles in astral travel and occasionally does readings at parties for a lark. He might be about to give the wrong person a reading....
