1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Tatties (Scottish word for potatoes)

Maker:
Luts
Head Sculpt:
Tyltyl elf
Skintone:
NS (badly yellowed)
Body:
tiny Delf
Sex:
Male
  • Face-up artist(s):
    Myself
    Date of acquisition:
    2019 (I think)
    Provenance:
Ordered through UK dealer Angelesque (now closed)
    Reason for choice:
Was looking for a cute short tiny to style after my husband's FFXIV Lalafell character and this was, at the time, one of the few around with large elf ears.
    Best Points:
Cute, stands quite firmly, similar sized to Late Yellow and Pukifee so easy to find basic clothing for
    Worst Points:
The resin at that time discoloured incredibly fast and he rapidly became a creamy white instead of a pale flesh tone.
Posing is limited compared to Pukifee
I love tinies and Lalafell (small child proportioned race in the online mmo Final Fantasy XIV) and so began to look for a doll I could base on my husband's Lalafell character. There are a lot of choices regarding cute tinies but not so many with large elf ears and as I wasn't confident enough to add ears through modding I settled on a Luts Tiny Delf, Tyltyl was the sculpt I ended up choosing. The fact I could order it through a UK based dealer at the time also helped sway my decision.
  • Eyes:
    currently cheap acrylic
    Wig:
currently faux fur wig purchased on Etsy
    Favourite colours:
Earthy colours, mossy greens and mud!
    Fashion style(s):
    Fashion means nothing to him
    Key fashion accessory:
probably the grass and twigs in his hair
Although currently dressed in a Gugu Mode onesie and the faux fur wig I got from a seller on Etsy for his previous character, the intent is to dress his new incarnation in ragged, dirty thrown together from scraps 'clothing' and attempt to make a wig from sheep locks.

Bare feet, always bare feet, he hates shoes!
  • Name story:
After deciding to scrap his original faceup and look (based on Hubby's FFXIV Lala) I suddenly had the idea of a childlike, scruffy, always dirty shy little fae and whilst thinking about that an old saying "....is so dirty you could grow tatties in it" popped into my head hence his name 'Tatties'
    Character age:
unknown, it's hard to tell with fae folk
    Character gender:
    Male (I think)
    Offsite roleplay:
This doll's character is not available for offsite roleplay.
Tatties is incredibly shy and never speaks, he just points at what he wants or gives you a sad look. I've no idea where he lives but judging by the bits of grass, leaves, spiderweb and twigs caught in his hair it's probably in a little nest somewhere in the garden.
Although he resembles a small human child he's a wild thing, he's as much a being of nature as our garden hedgehog.
Like his namesake Tatties is always smeared in dirt from digging about, he also has a permanently runny nose.
He can be mischievous but unlike a lot of fae folk it's never malicious or cruel, it's limited to hiding things, digging up plants or emptying wild bird feeders onto the ground, occasionally he will steal socks from the washing line.
