Reason for choice:

I had the pipe dream of a two-headed doll and found a company willing to make a custom sculpt torso and a painter willing to deal with the resin mismatch.

Best Points:

Beautiful doll, the jointed hands allow for more posing options, I love the theme I gave them too

Worst Points:

They can't stand due to the weird balancing issues of having two heads, and restringing them is going to be a pain

A crazy pipe dream that is now reality- and boy have these boys cost a pretty penny. They'll probably never be able to stand up on their own, but they can sit and lean against items without much of a hassle.

Name story:

Hanazawa is a combination of Hana- "Flower" and Zawa- "Swamp", thus they are the Flower Swamp. Their first names are Akaoni and Aoi-Oni.

Essentially, Akaoni and Aoi-Oni were young men when Aoi-Oni was slain on the battle field. Desperate to save his brother, Akaoni begged a god to rescue him. The only way this could come to pass would be for Akaoni to accept the parts of Aoi-Oni that were still somewhat alive into his body and sacrifice half of his body. Akaoni took the deal. Now, the two share a thin frame that is mostly supported by Akaoni's organs while Aoi-Oni's half-dead state allows him to use the mystical powers of the dead to assist his brother. They no longer age and will not die of sickness or time. Aoi-Oni is impervious to injury, but Akaoni is vulnerable. If Akaoni dies due to injury, they both will pass.

Akaoni represents Life in this pair. He's a bubbly, optimistic young man with firm ideals and believes that everybody has a chance to be good. He's a compassionate soul with a bit of a fiery temper and tendency to jump into conclusions that get him in a lot of trouble.

Aoi-Oni on the other hand is a more somber, broody older brother who is constantly fretting over Akaoni's safety. He's bitter, sharp-tongue and hard to get along with- even with Akaoni mediating discussions. Still, he's intelligent, quick witted, and a planner. In short, he's the perfect counter to Akaoni's impulsiveness.
