Reason for choice:

I saw the Kai II sculpt on Instagram one day and instantly fall in love with it. I thought it would be prefect for Thyme too, so win win! :D

Thyme is one of the main characters in a story of mine called Icarus of Midnight. It's about three twentysomething year old insomniacs who attend an informal late night support group to deal with their magical trauma and then maybe become gods too. The wording's pretty unclear.

I've been trying to shell these guys for years now, and this is actually Thyme's fourth incarnation! I hope it's his last though~

Thyme is a simple boy who likes simple practical clothing that's been customized to hell and back~! Studs and rivets and rips sing out to his heart and they're all very common features found within his closest. He also has a definite fondness for denim and flannels and dark tanks, even in the winter. Kid absolutely does not understand how to bundle up properly. :'l

Name story:

All the main characters of Icarus are named after plants, and especially poisonous plants. Thyme escaped that accidental theme though because a simple name always seemed to fit him best. Like he's just Thyme, simple, honest and kind.

Silly and empathetic, Thyme’s default external state of being is ‘happy’. He’s all bright smiles and warm hugs. He almost never stops moving too like he’s just brimming with energy and those good vibrations. It’s not uncommon to hear him humming or singing under his breath too, especially if he’s cooking. Kid just has a song in his heart~!

He’s also internally anxious as fuck so most of his outward happy appearance is a massive coping mechanism. He takes ‘fake it until you make it’ to an extreme, like the little Stepford Smiler that he is. On an anxious whim, he joins Icarus at Midnight hoping that maybe he can figure out a way to get back home while attending. Instead, he kinda meets the love of his life so that's a cool plus, yeah?
