Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of this sculpt and it called out to me. I knew I needed him to be Vestis.
    Best Points:
    Sturdy resin, excellent weight, and poseability.
    Worst Points:
    The internal channels are really narrow so stringing is difficult and wiring is not possible.
    Vestis is my oldest character. They started out as an OC that I would roleplay with (and my friend and I ended up basically writing a whole book for!). He's basically a mary-sue but I've invested too much time in him to be embarrassed by that. I'm so close to completing him as a doll that I can almost taste it. I'm so excited to see his final form!

    A lot of his style is heavily influenced by traditional Asia clothing. I remember when I originally designed him, it was pretty much entirely based on Japanese kimono and geisha. Over time, I took more inspiration from the ornate, layered garb of ancient China (approx 400-600 AD). The main focus was on trying to give him a powerful, yet elegant and ethereal look, so something weighted but flowing, with layers and rich colors was perfect. The addition of pieces of decorative armor and some floating lanterns completed the look quite nicely.

    Vestis is an old spirit called a dream shepherd. Much like the old gods who embody certain concepts like war/famine/love/etc, Vestis embodies the concept of dreams. He can alter and guide dreams, or even waking perception in some cases.
