1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

(His ‘modern’ story isn’t completely flushed out yet, and i try to summarise a lot)

Vladislav and his twin were born to two Russian peasants, Mikhail and Yelizaveta, in 1745.
Their childhood was not out of the ordinary for their time and social status- their mother died young, and his father remarried.

He went to the Borisoglebsky Monastery at 7 to access education along with his brother; and at 13, he became the apprentice of the village’s doctor. He fell in love with his daughter; and so did she. The doctor was content; he needed an heir. At 16 of age, they married, and at 19 they welcomed their first child, Anastasiya, a healthy baby girl, in 1764. They had 5 more children together.

Around their last child’s birth, the bubonic plague hit the village- through the years, he lost 3 of his children, and his wife, Anushka. Despite his grievance, he remarried to someone, also widowed due to the plague. It was more out of practicality and obligation than love.

Later on, one of his sons, Igor, who had been sent to the monastery, had been reported dead.

The emotional scarring upon Vladislav had become unbearable- he had not always been like that- he had always been a very morally correct and ethical man, however, the deaths around him had shaped him into the man he became.

Determined to see his twin and his two remaining children survive, he engaged his witchcraft. He became the cause of many deaths in his attempt to create immortality, or prolonged living. Eventually, he succeeded.

He turned his daughter and brother, for his other son had also died, into creatures on the verge of death; between the world of the dead and the living. For this, he had to sacrifice many. And for that, he was cursed to live forever, bearing the pain of the scars he had inflicted upon his many sacrifices. No ‘immortals’ would understand the reason why they had attained their appearances and immortality- nor would they know by whom. This was a punishment for the ‘bestower’ (Vladislav, here). He must be the only one to bear the pain of his actions. He must not speak of what he has done- yet, it will forever torture him. At night, he would be haunted by his own actions. He would think of them. He would suffer physically of the pain he had inflicted. The nightmare would repeat itself in his dreams. And yet, nothing would feel like enough to ever forgive himself.

The next day, they fled- they roamed the world, and Vladislav invested, making a fortune. He showered Anastasiya with gifts, trying ever so hard to make her happy- but never to succeed.

Eventually, they found themselves in modern day London.
