Reason for choice:

Spiritdoll Proud had been on my 'must have' list for a while and I made a quick decision when he was up for pre-order as a winter event limited.

Best Points:

One of the most exquisite hands ever made on the BJD market.
Extremely detailed muscles. Like a piece of art. Especially the back and the neck + collar bone area.
Perfect body proportions.

Worst Points:

Knee joints. They look a bit unnatural when bent.
Very heavy.
The resin should be normal, but it is lighter than what is usually called white resin. It quickly gained a pale vanilla patina - no matter how I kept him away from direct light. It takes a whole day to sand him back to his original skintone and due to the intricate musculature it is not an easy job. But it is worth the effort. After a good day of sanding she is back to his original color.

He came with and extra pair of jointed hands.
The resin is thick even in the most narrow parts like ankles. (Unlike my SOOM MA, whose ankle I am afraid to grab firmly, because I can see through the resin.)

His style was inspired by Lestat of the Vampire Chronicles: a modern interpretation of an eccentric and flamboyant 18th century noble who became obsessed with leather.
His loves knee-high boots, shirts with puffy sleeves, and he loves to show off his perfect figure in skintight trousers and transparent fabrics.
He can be quite extravagant with jewelry.
He wears his platinum blond hair long - sometimes with some darker blond 'highlights'.

Name story:

He is called by his artist name, Winter. It has nothing to do with the fact that he was a winter event doll, neither was it inspired by his profession (figure skater). Sometimes you just look at a doll, and he 'tells you' his name. Then later he let me know that he is from Russia and his official name is Maximilian Grigori Zaitsev. And I should never call him Max if I value my life.

Born of Russian and German origin.
He is a professional figure-skater and tours the world with and ice show. He is very talented at choreography, and he is already involved in putting together the program. Later he would like to work with his favorite lead choreographers to refine his skills.
He speaks German and Russian as mother tongue and English - still with a very distinct accent. :-)
