Bought second hand from a friend who bought him directly from Iplehouse

Reason for choice:

He looks like a younger version of a DollShe Saint!

He poses really well, is light and portable, and has gorgeous resin.

Worst Points:

His elbow joints pop awkwardly sometimes. I think I might try sueding them.

I remember seeing someone with a child version of one of their adult dolls once and I thought it was such a cute idea! For a few weeks I searched to find child versions of the dolls I had at the time, and in doing so really fell for JID Daniel. I just thought he was adorable, and when comparing him to his "adult" self, he looked very similar to a DollShe Saint. A flash of inspiration later and I decided he'd work well as Desmond's son.
Not too long after this, my friend @Kavarr had decided to sell his own JID Daniel, who just happened to have the perfect resin colour and the face up I wanted! Perfect timing really!

Name story:

Malik, is another reference to an Assassin's Creed character, though it also plays the dual role of meaning "king", while Zaki means "innocent", which I thought would fit him nicely given some of the things that happen in my story. Normally, in the Otherworld, children get their mother's surname, but Malik's mother's name is Void and thus does not count in the records. So he shares his father's surname.

Story Universe: A Clash of Worlds

Malik is a wide-eyed and curious child who seems to fear nothing and will try anything in the pursuit of knowledge. Unlike his father Desmond, he's very studious and completely rubbish at magic or anything remotely physical. He takes pride in his learning and does well in all his classes, and even as a child, people know he's a natural born leader. That said, he's not the perfectly poised young prince everyone wishes he was. He's as clumsy as he is a troublemaker, and he takes it upon himself to get into all sorts of mischief (usually encouraged by Desmond).

Sometimes Malik is a little too blunt for his own good though, and he has unintentionally offended many a person, including visiting dignitaries. Ah children...right? It's not until he meets Estella Mayfair and gets punched in the nose does he realise he needs to think before he opens his mouth. He also falls madly in love with her in that very moment.

Malik's best friend is Gerard; a half-elf, half-dwarf prince with a sense of adventure and a credit card.
