It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Discussion of Souldoll Celestyn 68cm non-gender body

Apr 10, 2006

    1. Wow, s/he's really lovely. Too bad s/he doesn't fit into my little family. I can't tell by the pictures - is the tattoo and body art also sculpted (like the ears/forehead) or just painted? In the description, it says "Tatoo of arm and body made to relief." It would be cool to be able to have them in relief, so you could paint them whatever color you wanted without having to be artsy enough to actually draw them on.

      I agree, I think painting the ears/forehead gold would really look nice. Or even using gold/silver/copper leaf to really enhance it. Perhaps use a combination, to give hir an autumnal feel.

    2. Am I the only one who thinks Celestyn and Asiter look...almost idential? *_* Not saying that's bad, but I just noticed that they look a lot alike.

    3. lolz i think they looks alike too =p

    4. Nah, I agree, they do look quite a bit alike .. The way the eys open, the nose, the shape of the chin, I can totally see it ...
      Oh WOW, so beautiful though !!! :D And right now I can't even afford a doll, let alone a $600 dollar beauty !

    5. wow. It's really interesting!

      It would be nice to have an option of not having those forehead feathers but I guess you'd have to remove them. It would also be nice to be able to choose to get a faceup but not tattoos.

    6. *drool* Guh...that body... I have to say Souldoll has been impressing me lately.
      Am I to understand that the doll is white skin? Has Souldoll ever made a white skin doll before? I'd really like that body for the Lupinus head, but I wonder if it would match?

    7. He's so gorgeous! I just had to order him, I'm so bad . . . .

    8. THAT is a perfect solution to my angel longing...but I don't want those leaf things on the forehead!!! The ears, though - wow!!!!!

    9. In this case, 'relief' refers to a raised area, so they are sculpted. ^_^ I wondered at first, too, but looking closely, it's possible to discern that that's what's going on there.

      I'm not a big fan of the scultping on the face (as I said in my journal, it seems like that might make it more difficult to seperate the individual personality of the doll from the pre-existing character set by the company), but the rest of it's just amazing. And I love the mouth... The colour's so rich, and the lips are full without coming across as a dollish equivalent of Angelina Jolie. XD

    10. the doll has no set gender, but I'm seeing him as a boy and finding it hard to picture him as a girl...does anyone see the doll as female more than male?since the majority of forum members are female, maybe we are more likely to see masculinity in things?

    11. I dunno, i see Celestyn more as a boy myself . . . . the hands seem a bit too masculin to be a girl in my opinion ^_^

    12. I see Celestyn more as a female. ^^;;;;;;;

      Hm...you could always sand down the forehead if you don't like the feather/leaf design.

    13. The face sculpt is a lot like Asiter, so that could be what makes it look more like a boy.

    14. This is just another thing to add to my list of "Reasons I LOVE Souldoll!"

      They're really been on a roll lately ^_^

    15. Does anyone think that hound clothes will fit him? I know they will be a bit loose by height wise . . . . .

    16. I can completely see her as a girl - but with bright carrot red hair, light aqua eyes and eyeshadow that is purple and orange on the lower lid and light blue on the top, and pink lips. At least that is what she will look like if I order her.

    17. That body is the definition of lithe or sylph like. I see the body as feminine but the face as more masculine. The legs and arms look very long. Has anyone read the "smoke ring " by Larry Niven. It describes these people that live in a very low gravity environment and are very long as a result. I suppose the feathers on the forehead could be sanded of, but I like them, something different. I wonder how far up the head they go.

    18. I think with the right face-up, thid doll could look masculine or feminine.

    19. I think they did an excellent job of making this doll androgynous. I tilt my head one way, I can see it as a male. I tilt my head the other way, I see it as a female. I look at it head on... and I get hella confused. XD

    20. I'm really, really impressed with the shape of the body. It's great to see an "androgynous" body that doesn't just look like a boy with his bits sanded off. >_>;;
