Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. 60cm Obitsu male body... Truth or Urban Legend?

    1. Hello

      Just wanting to have people's feedback on this because
      1) I've heard this was in the works like 2 years ago.
      2) a lot of people told me it might be nice to have one for a floating head.

      Please I am not talking of the girl body with a male chestplate. :barf Sorry personal pet peeve here, if you have one and love it, it's your doll and you love it like that, it's cool. But I just look at them and my mind goes "Something isn't right here!" I don't want to offend anyone... I just dislike it a lot.

      ANYWAYS! The doll was supposed to come out in Summer 2006, then September or October then it was annonced late January 2007... then Early Febuary and now it's getting pushed back again either late Febuary or March.

      It's begining to look like an Urban Legend, I mean what could posibly take them so darn long to produce a male doll when they have a perfectly workable female body? Use the same technology and change the morphology of the outer body.

      Anyone got thoughts on this subject?

    2. Lol, yeah, I read on a site that sells Obitsu dolls (don't ask me which one, I'm sorry it was a week ago and I didn't mark it), that they would be released in L a te February. I almost got excited, but I thought I should just wait and see. I'm holding out for a male Dolfie Dream as well.
      *cries* Why can't our precious vinyl girls have boyfriends, too?

    3. Parabox, who are in pretty close contact with Obitsu, say on their website he'll be released feb. And they hope there are no more delays, so I guess they aren't too sure either!

      If you keep an eye on parabox.co.jp/eng you should hear more.

    6. Well for Dolfie dreams... I think their target audience are guys... although a lot of girls have DDs their target audience is mostly male. (I read this on an online article and I can't remember where.. so you don't have to believe me) I wish they would do a male body... either DD or Obitsu... but I wish they just would GET IT ON! :? what's the hold up?

    7. I have the Obitsu male chest and you're right that it just doesn't work. It is good as a bust for a head though. I'd love a DD male too. That would be fun.

    8. I've seen people use it and it just makes me wanna go flat chested girl... it's the hips... the hips are all wrong. Boys don't have curvy hips... unless they are Kuja and freak people out LOL.

      I do hope they get him out soon also.

    9. My boy is veeery similar construction to an obitsu - vinyl, internal plastic skeleton - was purchased through Parabox, made by obitsu and I think, designed by a company called Seedring. I can't help wondering if his mould will be very similar to obitsus boy when he comes out, as he is 55cm and constructed by obitsu.

    10. yes I know about Seedring but... weren`t they limited? I don`t think they are availlable still I can check.

      EDITS: yeah I checked and the seedring body isn't availlable anymore =/

    11. Acexkeikai... I got him roundabout April 06. I couldn't read the site properly even through the babelfish translator so I was cheeky and emailed Parabox. They were very helpful and acted as a buying service for me (they said he wasn't available to buyers outside Japan) and he turned up a week later. Yay!

      Elasaid Aiden... Someone who's more of an investigator than I am did some research and found out he's based on some manga (I forget which exactly but it was about demons). So yeah, I spose he is a character doll, but it hasn't made any difference to his character for me.

      And yeah, his shoulders are a little prominent! He looks best in sleeveless otherwise it kinda looks like he's wearing 80's style shoulderpads (Don't tell him I said that!) XD

    12. Acexkeikai - I can't move the eyes a smidge! It was basically just a poke though so I will be trying seriously another time. Aaand I've pretty much shelved the souldoll idea, my boy seems to like (love) himself just the way he is.:roll:

      Here's a couple of pics, one close-up cus he looks great bald, and one comparison with my hound and my girl (when she used to be on the ball joint model obitsu bod)

    13. Ohh, thanks for this thread. I was wondering why there seemed to be no male 60cm Obitsu bodies around. I've been reading the different body descriptions and I like the sound of the Obitsu a LOT, so I was disappointed that I couldn't seem to find any males to go with the females (I'm with the folks who find male chestplate + female curves = weirdness XD).

      But is the fabled Obitsu male body going to be that much shorter than the female? I'm planning on making Ichigo & Rukia (from Bleach), so it's important for the male body to be taller than the female. Should I look elsewhere, or wait for the fabled 50cm Obitsu female?XD

    15. Good news and bad news. First the bad news - according to the Parabox forum, the Obitsu 55cm male body release has been pushed to April. :doh

      The good news - fwiw - is that his legs will allegedly be swappable with the 60cm female legs, so the girls can be made shorter. Also, Parabox says they will be releasing their own original 45cm female body in April - again, fwiw.

    17. I heard rumors in another thread of an obitsu boy body - not just the chestplate... I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this... I couldn't find another thread but I am also new to the forums..
