Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. 8.5CM head on 7CM Neck? Does it work? [HELP]

      So,

      I started collecting BJDs and I [now] have a D.Maillo Head [Soul Kid size], right? I was wondering if Illusion Spirit Bodies [1/4 size] could fit on a SoulDoll head and look normal. Since I need to stick to my budget [which is under $250] if it doesn't.

      Suggestions? Pictures? Since I need to know what it would look like. [/If it helps, the Soul Doll head is 8.5CM, and I cannot find any necks over 7CM that I like...]

      Edendoll - Found one, but the doll's neck was 6.5cm neck

      Dollzone - 7.5CM

      Resinsoul - right size neck, but I wasn't attracted to the body at all. AT. ALL.

      Illusion Spirit - 7CM

      FairyLand - 7Cm

      SpiritDoll - 10CM

      Dollmore - 7.6CM

      HyperManiac - doesn't say.

      Dream of Doll - 7.6, and out of my budget after shipping.

      There were a couple more I went to, but I can't exactly remember at the top of my head right now...

    2. It can work, although you might need some alterations done to either the opening
      at the bottom of the head or the neck.It could be something simple or a permanent
      modification but it is possible to do – there might also be no need any alterations at all.
      Sadly I don't own any of the bodies you mentioned or a SoulDoll Double-sized head
      to be of any substantial help on that subject.

      Whether it will look okay or"normal" as you say, it's a matter of personal preference.
      I personally, would never go for a smaller neck because I do not like how the heads look in proportion.
      I find SoulDoll sculpts to have aproportionate head-to-neck ratio (that's not often the case with most
      of these dolls) and I find that their heads usually look great in neck sizes similar or larger to their default bodies.
      However that might be different for you, so a smaller neck might look "normal" in your eyes – it's just amatter
      of opinion on that one. (:
