1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    2. I've kept the few plastic face covers that came with dolls but mostly I don't bother with them (I can seldom rememebr where I even put them).

If I'm shoving a doll in my bag to take to work with me, I'l wrap their head in a silk scarf or other soft cloth (whatever comes to hand in my sewing room) and that's about it.

If I'm transporting a lot of dolls to a meet or something, they get layered in bags with cushions or stacked head-to toe with the feet of one either side of the head of another and, if the next doll up isn't in skirts to protect the face of the lower one, I pull their wig over their face to protect it.

EDITED TO ADD: I do try to send heads out with a face protector when they go for a faceup, but I don't always find them when I need them.

    3. I kept them and I do use them. Whenever they come along with me in a bag they get the cover. It protects the fu and especially the eyelashes. So yeah I use them. :)

    4. I kept mine, mostly because I keep all my resin dolls in the closet. I like to have the face protectors to protect the painted faces, but mostly to protect the eyelashes. I love lashes on my dolls, but I don't like changing them, and as someone who rather not be wasteful whenever I can, I rather not damage them if I can avoid it.

It would be cool to see face protectors that were decorative as well, or like accessories more people would want to keep. Like gasmasks, but then I love masks (horror or creepy themes!). I don't feel like they would serve their purpose better, but it would be cool to see it. I would like face protectors for tinier faced dolls, be more proportionate. I recently got my first ever mature tiny (after more than a decade of not getting more BJD), and the protector is huge on my doll. It makes me nervous to carry his little carrier without thinking the lashes will get crushed (his face is tiny, so it was particularly painful putting the lashes in). DX

    5. Very rarely do I have a face protector break, but I definitely lose them a lot! I have a stack I bought from LUTS a few years ago that I pull from whenever I sell a head or want to travel with one of my dolls. (I don’t want to crush eyelashes either!) I think it’s an item that gets a lot of use if you take your dolls out, but otherwise it’s just nice to have.

    6. The only time I ever use them is when I’m selling a doll with faceup and eyelashes. The dolls I keep are never in their boxes, and if I’m taking one out with me, I’m usually carrying them so no need for it. If for some reason they do go in a bag, I really only use a face protector if they have eyelashes that could get messed up. Otherwise, I just wrap them in a doll pillow or blanket. I do all of my own faceups, so it’s not really a big deal to me if one chips.

    7. Yep me too.

    8. I keep the covers in a plastic bin, if I ever need to use them, I know where they are. I don't plan on boxing my dolls up, but who knows what fate has in store, so I feel better keeping the covers around just in case I might need to box up my dolls.

    9. I keep the ones that came with the dolls too, but I don't really use them much. I used a few on dolls that had faceups done, if they were in a box, but other than that...they're that kind of item that tends to get lost eventually. Never to be seen again. :XD:

    10. I kept mine incase I had to ever transport my dolls but I haven't had the occasion in which I've used them yet.
