Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Abio Angel Discussion Part 2

    1. I want to start a group of Abio Angel owners across the U.S. sometime in the future. I think AA's have the prettiest little faces!:aheartbea I would appreciate some help because I am really new to DOA and don't know how to do anything. I hope to hear from some people soon!!

    2. OK, I am totally new here, my 1st post....and just got my 1st real BJD! He's an Abio Angels "San". I am thrilled with him. Immediately made him a black and metallic gold "Sky Pirate" costume. Tunic over pirate pants with a sash. Black pleather vest and black pirate boots. He looks awesome.... Not quite so sweet, especially since he's carrying a pistol and a sword....
      I have no comparison to other brands but he is very nice.....
      And please point out what I need to do different in posting.....

    4. He's the avatar...... He was tired after his photo shoot...... actually his (letter opener) sword is quite heavy. :|
      I haven't quite got the hang of posing him. That and his knee keeps popping out of joint.... :...( Scares me to not play with him....
      So how bad do these guys stain from black clothing (silk!)? I'm sick of trying and failing to remove black marks on my vinyl family.....

    5. It depends on the clothing, I think. I don't know about silk, but my Er has a couple of black outfits and they stain a lot in some places. They don't stain nearly as badly as vinyl does, though, so most stains should be really easy to remove with a magic eraser and rubbing alcohol.

    6. I have AA Jiu and I love her. She is a quality doll. I just bought Wu this morning. I might be the only owner of a Wu or will be on DOA. I'm not sure about that I've been looking for a photo for months. I will definately post pictures of my Wu when I get her. I hope it soon because she was in stock.

    7. I've seen some Wu photos and she is stunning congrats!! I think I'm the only one to own a Liu, because I haven't found one photo of her other than stock. Even on the interwebs! I am excited to find that she is a rarer doll than most! I think there might be one other Wu owner on the site cause I've seen the box opening thread. I'm not sure though, I look at a lot of box opening threads! :roll: I just love to watch people open boxes! it is as exciting as getting a new doll for yourself!! I have noticed that AA dolls have weird elbow joints, does anyone have a problem with them?

    8. So is the Liu doll as pretty in person as she is in the pics?
      I'd love to share photostories if I had photos, LOL My Liu (Aiko :D ) is still on her way. I'm waiting on the Ups man to deliver her. Once I get her finished we should totally swap photo stories. I'm kinda just hangin out on DOA with my little dollfie plus. LOL :kitty2 But Liu should be here anyday!! I plan on posting a box opening thread!! :kitty1

    9. He looks great there! Do you have any bigger pictures of him?

      Have you seen photos other than the promos??? If so, I'd love to see them! I haven't seen any owner photos of Wu yet...

      I thought she looked stunning in her promo photo, but she seemed completely different from other angles. So far, all of the newer sculpts have seemed that way in my opinion...a lot narrower, angular, and somewhat awkward :sweat.

    10. Yah, found a carved flintlock on ebay...also a carved rifle....seems I like weapons of not much destruction.... Made the outfit from a silk sari.
      Your guy looks awesome! Ok, so I'm old, is he punk, goth??? I'ver been dabbling in steampunk.....

    11. That is awesome! A doll sized flintlock pistol that isn't a lighter is a very good idea. And a rifle, too? Doubly awesome.
      A silk sari? I wouldn't have guessed. I love the colours, black and gold are great together. ^^ I have much respect for your sewing ability, I...have very, very little. Oh, yay steampunk! It's great when it's done well.

      Thank you.^^Luke is somewhere in between those two. He's pretty much a Jrock influenced American goth boy, if that makes any sense. The outfit he currently has on looks a LOT like H.Naoto's stuff, only way less pricey, but his makeup style is more like a little Visual Kei mixed with a lot of classic gothy makeup. And of course his beloved Skelanimals hat is pure Hot Topic mallgoff. *lol*

    14. My new Wu is double jointed. It is possible that I have a AA head with a Angel of dreams body. I read that is what's happening. I'm not sure but I heard something like they are not doing bodies anymore. The body matches so I would have to contact dollfie fashion island to find out. My Jiu came with the single joint body and I have to say I prefer the double jointed body.

    15. I love my AA. He doesn't pose as well as some of the dolls I've tested out, but I'm thinking a little modding at the joints will help.
      I love their face sculpts! They're so detailed! <3

    16. I love their faces too! As for the bodies, I've switched out most of mine (I just kept one of each type and sold the rest). I don't mind the poseability issues that much, but I just think they could be a lot more attractive (especially those hands).

      If you do manage to make them pose better, please post your results :).

    17. I'm interesting in a ShiWu that I've found on ebay but he is really cheap...is that normal?
      I'm a little bit worried because of this price....

    18. What is the price? All Abio angels are 'cheap' for that scale. They're normally about $240-$300 new-they can be even lower than that used (I've seen them as low as $160).

      There are some shiwus on this board-you can try looking at the abio angel database if you want to see some of them :).

    20. So I sueded My AA Liu and She poses MUCH BETTER!! I still want to buy her a new new body that will pose better though. She still is floppy after restringing her a few times cause She is nearly impossible to string tight or loose enough. I love AA's face molds, but they need to make new boidies with better joints. Can anyone recommend a good match for the 09 NS? My poor girl NEEDS a new body!
