It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum. ACEN BJD Cosplay Contest *Doll Prize!!*

    1. This year we are happy to be able to announce that at the BJD panel The Resin Epidemic (Saturday, 1:30-2:30 in the Lindbergh Room) we will be having a BJD cosplay contest and prize giveaway!​

      We will have all prizes on display at our Artist Alley table, as well as informational material available.​

      First off, the ability for us to present you with a chance to win such wonderful prizes is 100% because of the generosity of: Bambicrony, Latidoll, Dollshe, Domadoll, FDQ and HauteDoll magazine!!!
      There will also be a lot of informational material and handouts from companies such as Unidoll, Doll In Mind, DollHeart, CustomHouse, MuseDoll and more.​

      Along with the panel, which will cover as much as we can possibly fit in, there will also be a prize drawing (all who attend the panel may enter) and a BJD costume contest (if you were going to dress your doll up anyway, bring them along and possibly win a wonderful prize!)​

      Cosplay Contest:
      Cosplay contest entries will be judged both on technical skill (craftsmanship) as well as how closely they represent the character that is being cosplayed:​

      Grand Prize:
      The Grand Prize for the Cosplay Contest will be a Sweet Lullaby Roko with ViYa Faceup ( http://bambicrony.net/shop/step1.php?number=463 ), Shining White Fairy Outfit ( http://bambicrony.net/shop/step1.php?number=453 ) and 2 Domadoll Elf Wigs, as well as issues of HauteDoll and FDQ magazine, a set of Latidoll Keychains, a Latidoll Desk Calendar and a Dollshe Mousepad!!!
      I highly suggest that if you were thinking about cosplaying a doll, you get that together this weekend, and I apologize for the late notice, but I only found out myself this last Friday that Bambicrony was very generously donating a doll as a prize!​

      2nd Prize:
      Second Prize will consist of One Large Latidoll Plushie (white angel mascot), a set of 3 Latidoll Keychains, a set of Latidoll Stickers, a Latidoll Desk Calendar, a Dollshe Mousepad and issues of HauteDoll and FDQ magazine​

      3rd Prize:
      Third Prize will consist of a set of 3 Latidoll Keychains, a set of Latidoll stickers,a Latidoll Desk Calendar, a Dollshe Mousepad and issues of Hautedoll and FDQ magazine​

      Drawing Prize:
      The drawing will be open to everyone ATTENDING* the panel, and the prize will be:

      * It has been brought to my attention that there are people attending ACEN who might be physically incapable of making it to the Panel (due to recent surgeries and other health conditions) These will be the only exceptions in regards to attendance and prize drawing entry. If you are one of said people, or know someone who would like to make it but can't because of a medical condition that prevents you from being able to attend (I know how crazy panels can get), please PM me and we will discuss getting you entered.​


      Rules for Cosplay Contest:
      # Final Fantasy XI, Ragnarok Online, and all other MMORPGs must have reference material if entered or it will not be judged. Fan art will not be accepted.
      # Costumes entered must be of Japanese game, anime, manga or media (Sentai, music, J-rock, etc.) origin to be eligible for craftsmanship judging. (Korean may be accepted but references will need to be supplied.)
      # Costumes that have won a major award at other events are ineligible to win another award in the same category.
      # Purchased costumes are exempt from competing. Costume MUST be made by the owner of the doll entered.
      # EGL costumes are allowed but must follow lolita guidelines of a defined style of lolita dress. All EGL entries should be based on replica of an original lolita dress that is either brand name with reference or printed in publicly distributed medium. (Be prepared to present some information to the judges with reference.)
      # Judges decisions are final. Any arguing disqualifies the entrant.​

    5. That is AMAZING!!! Wow...I wish I was going to ACen this year...and had cosplayed my dolls!!!!
      Now, some questions: Is this going to happen next year?
      Also...I have a comic contracted for publication...would that be acceptable for cosplay or does this have to be a anime/manga, etc. only contest?

    6. There are plans in the works to do this next year as well... and you could cosplay your character if your comic is published at the time of the costume contest you want to enter.

    7. I take it I'll need to bring in "evidence" of the published comic? ;)
      Also....only one doll may enter? The reason I ask is that all of my dolls are based on characters from the comic, so I could have a group enter.
