Age of your bjds

What is your favorite age for bjds? Does it match with your current bjd ages?
I like BJDs in their late teens and early twenties, as I find those are the characters I most enjoy writing (end of high school/college students). I do, however, have a couple younger characters, just because those sculpts were young-looking (Littlefees, in particular). Even then, they're like 10-11.

Do you have a bjd that is older/younger than most customers/the sculptor/whatever view the sculpt?
I guess my Littlefee Mio being 11 is a bit older than many view the sculpt? And maybe my DC Queena being 22-23 too, given she's a "kid" doll?

Do you have bjds that are mostly younger or older than you are?
Most of my BJDs are around my age, except for the couple younger ones...though even the ones around my age are usually a couple years older than me. Not sure why.

Most of my characters are in their twenties except for those that are not human and for Piers who is supposed to be in his thirties.

I think with most of my BJDs you can tell what age they're supposed to be. There are a few characters of mine that are supposed to be really old but they have the face of a twenty year old.

My bjds are around my age and older. There is one doll I'm working on but it's just a child version of one of my characters.

I guess I have a favorite age range in that I prefer more mature looking BJDs for my collection.

I'm not sure but I think pretty much everyone would think of them as in their 20s. Some could look like teenagers to others possibly.

They are a couple of years older than me but basically the same age. Age is a way I relate to them.

 

Most of mine are elemental-type characters, so even though they look young, some of them are quite old in human terms. One, however, is only around two years old in our years, although she's fully grown. It makes finding clothes a little bit tricky sometimes.

 

Most of my characters are in their late teens to late 20s unless otherwise stated, expect for the ones who remain the age they died as. Kyrian is the exception to this rule, though. For several reasons he usually appears as his 17-year old self, but carries the personality and mentality of his actual age, 26.

 

This is a hard question to answer because my dolls' ages are all over the place. Angelo and Lily are in their 20s, Lizzie and JJ are older teenagers, and the rest are essentially ageless.

Perhaps add the option for ageless and maybe make it possible to select more than one?

Nah... I'm easy. Most all my dolls are pretty much what they look like, except for the "Immortal" thing!

Well, I'm an older owner, so almost everything is younger... except for the immortals, anyway!

 

Mine have a really wide range of ages, evenly divided. My current doll family is a family - an infant, a toddler, a young married couple in their mid to late 20s and one set of grandparents who are ambiguously somewhere between 45 and 60. The dolls I'm waiting for will add 2 primary school age children and another couple who are approximately in their mid to late 30s (developmentally at least, some are fantasy characters).

I don't have a favorite age. I like seeing what other collectors do to portray a wide variety of ages, or life states in the cases of immortal or other fantasy characters.

Most of the sculpts I own are too rare to have a predictable "most customers" I think, except my toddler Bobobie tiny who is spot on. My Mythdoll Little Leroi is probably older (mid 20s) than most people have viewed the sculpt. I consider it a very adaptable sculpt though, almost a blank slate.

Mostly younger, I'm a few short years younger than the lowest age range for my "grandparent" dolls.

 

I don't think I have any that are under 100. In fact, I'm not even sure if I have any under 1,000. My "oldest" is ... billions and billions of billions and billions of years old... does that even count?

 

Ooh, my group is kind of all over the place, age-wise, since we're talking in terms of magic. Most seem to be "stuck" at mid-20s to late 30s, though I do have a handful of teens and a couple of babies, though again, magic and curses come into play.

Most of my group are younger than me, though I do have a few right around my age.

 

I only have one doll at the moment and she's about 14 or 15. I'm saving for another who will be the same age.

I, however, am well past that age (grin).

I have a msd doll leaves lilith with a small bust that I view as an adult.

30s then 20s/teenagers and then... Hmm, I think 40s.
Not sure if I have more 20s or teenagers, but definetly I have 30s the most.
Yo tho, the only BJD i currently have, is 17.

I prefer dolls in their mid 20s, and yes, most of my dolls are indeed within their 20s or early 30s.

Yeah, I do. I'm pretty sure most people think a SWITCH Shiho is supposed to be quite young, but my girl is a baby-faced 31 year old woman.

20s-30s. It's the easiest age to sculpt in adults and I've a thing with elves who don't age, so...

About my age generally. I don't calculate, if it works aesthetically to me.

What is your favorite age for bjds? Does it match with your current bjd ages? I guess 20's. All of my planned dolls (lol) will be 20something except the 2 MSDs. They are late teens (but I was thinking of just bumping the age and making them fairies e.e the height difference changes things)

Do you have a bjd that is older/younger than most customers/the sculptor/whatever view the sculpt? If i change my MSDs to 20 year old adults i guess i'd have them older than most would. My SDs are in a normal age range for their sculpt.

Do you have bjds that are mostly younger or older than you are? 2 will be younger than me the rest are older than me. My story that i have for them require a bit more maturity that I think most pick up nearing 25+ when under 30.
