Angel of Dream 1/6 Dolls discussion part 1

Wigless, but with a sanded nose, since I didn't like how pointy it was originally

 

I bought a 6-7 Monique wig for my MiMi, but I can't get it to go over her head, even when I stretch it. What wigs are you'all using for these dolls? trudy <><

 

I was using a Kemper mohair wig, in size 6/7. I believe the name is Nicole, and the colour was Carrot. It fits really nicely, but unfortunately, I didn't realize how fragile it was, and the wig felted when I carried Synneva (Nini) with me in my bag one day.

 

I love my Mi Mi...still waiting till I can afford Gaui Guai & some of the 1/3 sized dolls. The wig I have on my doll is 6/7 from jpop wigs & it fits really well. I still want people to post more pictures! These dolls are just so cute!

 

I can gladly help with that! Here are a couple of older ones, I'll post one with her new eyes & hair (makes such a difference) a little later. If you have any specific poses or closeup angles you would like to see just let me know. I love my AOD tinies!!

I know there are some other MiMi owners out there, but does anyone else have Guai Guai? I would love to see other owner pics of him. He was the first I fell in love with, so it is kinda sad not to see more out there.

I got my Le Le with tanned skin quite recently and I must say I absolutely love AoD's tinies! &#9829; I want more! The faceup that came with him was wonderful too~

(Yes, he's in a dress. >< I was kind of preparing for a girl first actually but.)
His eyes are a mass of darkness because the eyes he came with are quite big, and pitch black too.

My friend got a Whiteskin Ai Ai, body changed to female. I love her ears!

I was able to adopt a LeLe girl at BJDC. Her name is Sofia.



She's NS...Aaron didn't have any tanskin ones at the convention, unfortunately. I love the tan color. I like the faceup she came with, but her eyes are pretty dark, so I'll most likely be experimenting with colors for those, possibly to a light blue or green. I also have to get her a wig that's hers, so I can trim the bangs a little...right now she's borrowed my Shushu's wig.

Does she wear the same size wig as your Shushu? My AOD tinies wear 6/7 & I thought the MNFs were 7/8?

 

It's a 6/7 Monique Jojo, and it fits my Shushu fine, but she doesn't seem to be as round-headed as many MiniFees. I've personally found that most of the slim minis look best in 6/7's, so maybe they're closer to 7 than 8.

Well, I've just gotten me an AiAi and a WanWan head (to go on a soom glati body, yes a boy WanWan) so I shall drift into this discussion ^^
I'm hoping that 12mm eyes do fit in the AiAi, he came to be with 16mm, thay are much too large ^^; Ah well, faceupping and clothes needed now, mah poor AiAi is wearing a pair of 1/4 boxers

 

Forgive the huge eyes then, they arrived with 16mm eyes which are too big, their actual eyes haven't arrived yet. Maybe I'll post them again when they are more...complete ^^;

One thing about AiAi and his puffy cheeks, for some reason they seem less puffy with his faceup done.

 

Is it acceptable to talk about any AOD 1/6 doll or just the new ones? I really love Xi's face and would like to see owner pics of her if possible, but she is one of the older dolls. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

 

I fell in love with AoD when I saw them at the UFDC convention last summer in new Orleans. Sculpts are so different - I'd like another one - only wish their bodies were double jointed. thanks for the spam. I'd love to post a photo, but copying and pasting the url from photobucket isn't working. uuuggh.
