      This is the discussion thread for the AprilStory Kid and Baby lines, the latter including the Kentauros body

      How I wish I'd ordered Nari as well, or twins!

      By the way, I don't know how ASD could list her as wearing 14mm eyes: I've got her wearing the smallest 12mm glass eyes I had! (Which are 12 mm German handblown eyes, I forgot if they were Kanis Augen ones or not.) Guess it also has to do with personal preferance, I suppose.

    4. Thanks, Safray! I wish they'd be back for sale again one day too, really regret not getting Nari as well. Don't think it's very likely either of these will be sold again though, sadly. But in that case, hopefully they'll come with new sculpts in this line.

    5. Guess I might as well double post: just got great news from April Story. I asked if they had any plans to either re-release Dalrae and Nari, or otherwise add any new sculpts to this line, and this was their answer:
      A bit cryptic, as I suppose it could still mean either of the 2. But hey, Safray, seems like good news pretty much either way, right?

    9. Kim-in-Mo Your girls are so beautiful! Love their outfits! And your pictures is great!

      I asked the April Story about KID line too and that's what they replied to me a week ago:

      A little bit confusing... So April or summer? I'm away for the whole summer in the country that doesn't let me use my PayPal so I probably won't be able to order again!
      And they are not going to re-release Dalrae-this is very sad! I love her!
      Really wish they would offer this line all the time, like bigger dolls that they have.:(

      Oh boy, a new sculpt.... Well, I hope then that it is summer and not next month, for my sake, but that doesn't help you!

      Maybe you could send paypal funds to a friend, and have them send payment if you like and want the new release. Posing can be a bit awkward with these gals, but their faces make up for it a thousand fold! :)

      Can you elaborate about Dalrae posing a little? Why is it awkward? It looks like they have double jointed elbows and single-jointed knees, right? And additional joint in the thigh. It's supposed to give pretty good range of motion.
      Both dolls look very natural in your pictures!

    12. The only thing I wish they'd do differently are the elbow joints. They aren't round, or peanut shaped. When you can get them to stay, the girls have the adorable ability to touch their faces, but the arms don't always lock in place. The elbow piece reminds me of a tooth, and the roots fit into these tiny grooves inside the upper arm. I'll try to get a picture of this, as I'm not sure I'm explaining it very well.

      Also, I'm not sure if it's because of the elbow piece or not, but the forearm has a tendency to twist. I feel like I'm always turning their arms around! If they are dressed in something long sleeved, you'd never know. I don't know if glue sueding would help because of the strange elbow piece.

      Really, the elbow is the only sorta wonky thing about them. :)

      What do you guys think, shall I make a few changes to the title and first post of this thread, so we can discuss the new baby and Kentauros sculpts here too, or should they have a new thread all for themselves?

      April Story has the new dolls listed under their KID-line. So maybe (like with the different sizes of their SDs), we could have the 29cm Kids, the new 24,5cm babies and Kentauros’ together as well? Especially as there are so few of the bigger ones around, and they might never release more?

    15. nancy_schroeder_ca : Hi , did your Dasom in the end also arrive last month? Mine did, and I love this little body as much as i thought I would. Love the realistic look, especially of those wonderful little hands and feet! Really like how it poses too.

      I spent yesterday and today working on my boy's face-up. Had a mishap when spraying the MSC yesterday, so it started to flake and I had to start from scratch today again. That's why it still isn't completely finished, but I took some pictures today to see what his character is like, and how to procede from here.

    17. Oh poor you! :daisy Shouldn't be too long now though - hopefully - since mine arrived Jan 17th.
      Here's another picture to give you more of an idea how tiny these cute ones are. They are a bit smaller, slimmer than any other YOSD size tinies I know, including LTFs:

    19. Thanks, and great, I'd already hoped you'd find that so you would get a better idea of the size!
      By the way, if you haven't ordered a wig yet, you might want to wait until your girl gets home. I ended up very much prefering 5-6" wigs to 6-7"inch ones for mine. That said, I do always like wigs to have a snug fit. But like the body, Dasom's head certainly is smaller than most other dolls this size.

      Today, I worked on my boy's face-up a bit more (almost finished now), and then let him have some playtime in the new outfit I've knit for him. We both had a lot of fun, and I was able to take some pictures too. I'll post some over the next days to help you with the wait for your Dasom!

    20. nancy_schroeder_ca : No news from Aprilstory yet since last week? Just checked the waiting room, and found out LaraT ordered a Dasom as well!
      My boy is getting excited, as he hopes he'll make some friends here soon.
