Are a cool pair of jeans a reason to get an SD?

Jul 13, 2009

    1. Going through my doll clothes, I actually have a cool pair of blue jeans, LOL. Made for an SD sized doll... so um... is that a reason to go big? LOL

      Oh man, I'm a sick puppy ;P

    2. well if u find a big doll that you want so then do it. but not just to get a doll to fit the jeans :)

    3. Ingie, just think of the tinies you could buy with the money you saved not getting an SD and selling the great jeans to someone who does have an SD. I have a couple SDs and I think you really need to want to have one this size. They are gorgeous, but they are quite a bit more expensive than most tinies and the shoes, etc. are also more expensive since they are larger. They are easier to sew for though.

Have you checked out SD's before? What companies are you looking at?

    4. LOL to me finding spare change under the car-set is a good reason to buy another SD ;)

Saying that - I have an SD Fer and no SD girl, I WAS going to sell it but now I actually have another SD girl coming home... its staying (again - lol)

    5. For me that would be a good reason.

    6. Of course that is a good reason! LOL

    7. They'd have to be really cool jeans, but I'm sure they are.;):p

Of course, I buy c.60cm dolls with less excuse, so you might not want to listen to me.

    8. Works for me! LOL!!!

    9. LOL, don't worry, gracie, I gots no money to spend LOL. Just forgot I had these jeans! They fit my 60cm Obitsu, probably would be too small for an SD, no? Just dreaming out loud, and thinking it's funny how finding the jeans made me immediately want to get an SD, hee hee hee :D

    10. And here I was ready to enable you right into a SD:lol:

Seriously, there are some SDs that are about the same price as certain tinies.......you know, just looking.....just in case....

    11. LOL, I'd love a few SD's and if my hubby ever "makes it big" LOL, I'll add a wing to the house just for my dolls :D

In the mean time... just looking (and getting my first MSD soon, I hope)

    12. If there's a SD size doll out there you love, heck, why not? ;)

There have been times, admittedly, that I've considered getting at least -one- in some other size just so he/she could wear some of the awesome outfits made for that size only. I've resisted thus far since I -should- be sewing and not buying outfits -period-, but I have a sinking feeling that won't last forever.

    13. Man, I've used having an extra wig as an excuse to get a new doll so, yes, it is a brilliant reason. :D

    14. Haha! If the shoe fits (or jeans in this case)! ;) As long as you love the doll, why not?

    15. I think those jeans must be very lonely. :(

    16. As a total enabler I say it's a great reason! Are obitsu boys thin? I know their 28cm boys are super slim, so maybe it's worth looking at a ResinSoul/Bobobie boy... Of course I will admit I am totally addicted to ResinSoul and Bobobie dolls

*is now thinking about getting a BBB 60cm boy body and a RS Dan head to make a Dan boy*

    17. ha ha ha......

my HUSBAND is getting an SD girl

he hasn't picked for *sure*, but you should see the SHOE list........

me?? I saw a pair of cute (kitty) shoes at the lst meet-up.....if they aren't SD size, I'll seriously consider getting the right sized doll.....

    18. studio, my DH has an SD girl. He got her at IDEX at the Elfdoll meet in January. He definitely isn't a doll person, but he has artist tendencies. He wound up getting a OOAK Sooah by Christy Stone. He wanted a WS Soah that he fell in love with the year before at an Elfdoll meet, but she wasn't available. I think BJDs are wonderful because they really bring out the artistic nature of people. It isn't just a "doll" thing, which isn't to say a doll-thing is bad, just not something a lot of people are comfortable with. At both the Elfodll meets, there were a lot of men collectors there which I think is wonderful! There was even a dad with his daughter there.

    19. Yup that sounds like a perfect reason to me :D And...one I haven't used yet hmmmmm *shifty eyes*...

    20. Oh man, my heart has been stolen by an Iplehouse E.I.D. LOL But I know my hubby wouldn't like him in the house...... LOL
