1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Please join me for a book signing at the Petaluma Arts Center on July 17th, 2010 at 1:00 PM. This exhibit features doll artists from around the world. I was contacted by the curators to do a presentation, display and slide show about Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls. The official opening of the exhibit will be a 4 PM that afternoon.

The Arts Center is a lovely space and they present very high-quality, professional exhibits. This exhibit is curated by a woman who is a psychology professor at Sonoma State University. She teaches a class called "The Psychology of Dolls". The other curator is from the San Francisco Folk Art Museum.

Petaluma Arts Center is located at 230 Lakeville Street in Petaluma (in the old railroad depot complex). There is a suggested donation of $5.

Please come and bring a doll so the Asian Ball-Jointed Doll community can have a presence at this show! The first 10 people to arrive with a ball-jointed doll will receive a flowered head wreath for their doll. I will be giving out goodie bags with cards and Japanese candy as well. :)

      Hope to see you there!
