Being Haunted By a BJD!!!

...by how do you mean haunting? Robert the Doll haunting?

 

Kane haunts me. His character is possessed, but regardless of his shell, the actual DOLL seems to cause weird or bad stuff to happen too.

It started when he was in his old incarnation of a ragdoll, and I had a candle explode while he was sitting by it. I also often saw shadows moving in the mirrors when he was around, and knocks from my headboard and closet.

When I got his first resin shell, a DragonDoll Uncle in January 2010, I was disappointed from the moment I opened the box. It felt "wrong". It depressed me a LOT. He looked so pissed off. I started having serious nerve problems, ended up in the hospital, they thought I had a stroke and I have permanent nerve damage. I had to step down from my new promotion within a month. My sister developed a thyroid problem. Needless to say, I sold the doll and things got better, though I ended up having surgery as a result of the damage already done to my nerves, and they never did figure out what caused it.

December 2011, I reshelled Kane yet again as Crobidoll Ys, and this felt perfect, he looked happy. Buuuuuut....My family and I often hear crashes or footsteps in the dollroom when no living thing is in there. This started after Kane came home. Nothing is ever damaged, but it sounds exactly like a human stomping around and dropping things. He also messes with electronics. Just carrying him into a room has caused Netflix to freeze, Internet to crash, cable to go out and lights to flicker. The worst case is that while he was staying with my bff, her doll's finger got broken. She has a lot of dolls and takes good care of them, this was the only time a finger has EVER snapped. Oddly enough, it was the wedding ring finger on Kane's girlfriend. >.> I stuck some sage in his headcap, and that seems to help, but we still hear the crashes and footsteps loud and clear!

I suppose there COULD be a logical explanation for these weird coincidences, but I find it very odd that so much of it revolves around Kane and not the other 50+ dolls in the house....

 

I think that if Cane started haunting me he would just stomp around the house complaining about the mess and trying to clean my room XD

 

To put it simply, I am not a superstitious person and don't really believe in possessions/etc. because I don't believe in souls or anything after death. I usually accredit people's "hauntings" as confirmation biases.

 

I don't believe in that kind of thing as I have religious beliefs to the contrary. However, I doubt Cesavier would be the bad kind of haunter. He's always very cuddly and he has a kind face - I'm pretty sure if he was alive the worst he'd do would be to re-organize my room. Seraphine I could see being more dangerous, but only in a 'this dress is ugly. I'm throwing it away' kind of way.

 

I think I'd be more likely to be haunted by an x-box controller lol. (in other words I don't believe a doll or a lamp or other object can be haunted)

If theoretically some kind of horror scenario like that happened I would destroy the doll.

 

Let's just say that if my doll were to "haunt" me it would be out of the house. I don't want to be dealing with that lol

I opened my closet door one morning and found Dane sitting outside of his box on my closet floor. Obviously the box just fell and opened,but there was a second where I was really creeped out. It's creepy to see your doll sitting there staring up at you,especially when he's supposed to be an evil character.

 

Well, Nero isn't haunting me per say.... but I do walk in and find that he's moved positions sometimes. But I DO have a doll who seems to be haunted, I bought this doll used and gave the body to Nero, and the head just seemed female to me. Her body JUST arrived and I realized why she was freaking me out....
She's the spitting image of my deceased first girlfriend. Her body came in a box and pillow bag in this girls favorite shades of her favorite color. I burst into tears when I put her together, i'd missed her so much. I used to feel like she was watching me and at least now I know why XD
Jessica has been haunting me since I got home from germany where I was when she died, 6 years ago. But now she's got a proper "host" other than finding her poetry scattered all over my room XD

 

I...Dunno. Sometimes it seems as if my first doll glares at me but since getting her boyfriend and siblings home she seems content. Plus her perfect wig helped.

My MSD...Well he once looked like his eyes looked right to me...I just hugged him and said: "Okay more hugs for you." And all was good...Note: Avalon has been on my bed more then he has NOT. I've fallen asleep holding him and I feel perfectly safe. I've seen a lot stranger.

 

Don't really believe in that stuff. I watch "Haunted Collector" and ghost shows all the time, but I'm not at all sensitive to ghosts. I've lived in a haunted house, gone on ghost tours of haunted places... never seen/experienced a thing. So I don't think my dolls would haunt me.

They are also new and well-treated and there has been no tragedy associated with them, so even for a sensitive-to-supernatural folk shouldn't be bothered by them!

 

Growing up, my parents used to buy me a porcelain doll every year. Somewhere along the line I had to box them up and store them in the attic because I was constantly dreaming about them being alive. I mean, it wouldn't have been a bad thing - my Dolls have always liked me but it was enough to creep me out.

Even now, (10-15 years later) every time I walk into my room I always expect my bjd dolls to have moved or repositioned themselves while I was gone. I know its not logical and I fully blame Toy Story :P - but its almost like a game of 'catching them in the act.'

I'm sure they find it amusing. Both being brats and all.

 

There is a myth about it, I'm sure it inspired the people who wrote the toy story script, its also mentioned in A Little Princess (not the shirley temple version, havent got my hands on that one yet lol)
