Best small posable/flexible dolls

Jan 6, 2015

    1. Hello

I hope this is the right place to post this question.

So I'm fairly new to the hobby and have really started getting more into it.
I currently have a Dust of Doll Meel and Dream High Studio Nero. I love my girls but I have to admit I really would love a doll that has a lot of flexibility so that it's easier to pose them. And I like a smaller doll so really something 35 cm and smaller would be very nice.

I've looked at Darak dolls Claire and also noticed that dollzone has very flexible dolls in general. I really liked Miss Kitty the best out of all the faceplates. I have heard that fairyland has wonderful to pose dolls so I've also been looking at them too. And I am really interested in a doll chateau doll as well.

Personally I would like a smaller doll that's easy to travel with since i am still working on being comfortable with sharing my hobby.

So all and all do you have any recommendations for nice posable and flexible dolls that are affordable and not overly huge?

      Thank you!

    2. Of the dolls I've owned, I think Impldoll and FDoll had the best posing, though Asleep Eidolon is really nice too!

    3. Fairyland puki puki are the most poseable i have seen in the tinies, along withe the real pukis! One of the resaons they are incredibly popular.

    4. I would go with a Fairyland PukiPuki, as Kez said.

I have one and she goes a lot of places with me. She's so tiny she can fit in my pocket, and I can easily carry clothing changes for her. I also have gotten this doll to do handstands, stand on one foot, and her limbs hold any pose that I put her in. I got a great deal on her by prowling the secondhand market. I also love the fantasy options available for PukiPukis. Clothes for this size are super easy to find.

    5. I have a Dreamhigh Studio Elvenia that's really flexible and posable :). She can hold a lot more poses than my MNF!

    6. I'd have to say Minifee. Out of all the dolls I've ever handled, my Chloe poses like a gymnast. She arrived very posable, but I've also sueded her and it still baffles me how she can do anything and stay that way. Stands like a rock too. I have two small children who constantly bump the shelf she's standing on (with no stand) and she doesn't budge. She stands up there with her hands near her face and hasn't budged since I stood her there.

    7. The most poseable and flexible small dolls in my collection are my IMPL 26cm "Baby" size dolls and my Dollmore Dear Doll (25cm). Both of these companies' 1/6 scale dolls have mobility cuts in their thighs and their upper arms as well as double jointed knees and elbows. Dear Doll has a 4-piece torso and is extra flexible and poseable. Also, both of these are probably in a more reasonable price range than Fairyland, and each have a distinct aesthetic from each other (and from Fairyland). I think what you eventually choose should be based on a look that you like as well as on the posing abilities of the body. I'll agree that Fairyland dolls are also pretty awesome at posing, too. If that's an aesthetic you like then I say go for it. :)

    8. Just to add to the Darak-i Claire thing, she is honestly the most solid doll for posing I've had. She holds all the imbetween poses with her arms and legs and she is just so easy to work with. I have a Doll Chateau Queena and it's like working with glass >.< I also had as SD who just didn't move like she does. I have limited experience compared to most, but I can recommend Claire as a small girl (who would match Meel with the mature body on a 1/6 size) with good flexibility. She can do things like lie on her tummy and look up.
If you want me to try any particular poses let me know and I'll take some photos :)
I'd love to see a Claire and a Meel together!

    9. I have both fairyland and darak doll ari. Darak doll has a million times better posing than fairyland. She can comfortably touch her facr and sit crosslegged. Which fairyland cannot do

    10. If you're looking for a more mature looking YoSD/tiny-ish doll, I'd suggest looking into the Dollzone B18-001 Mini body...I have a Wendy head on it and she poses like an absolute DREAM, looking elegant while doing so. The only drawback is the limited number of heads that fit from the company itself (Ivy, Iris, Dale, and Wendy for sure, and the other BB dolls, maybe??), though hybriding might bring interesting results :)

    11. Of all the tiny dolls I have handled, Fairyland's cannot be beaten in terms of posability.

    12. My Withdoll 16cm doll holds poses amazingly and has great balance. Although for smaller dolls, I don't think anything beats Fairyland's various Puki lines.

    13. I'd say, too, that DollZone's B18-001, if you are looking for 1/6 range. If you are willing to try 1/4, then we have minifees, and Doll Chateau and DollZone have really nicely posable girls as well.

    14. If you are talking 10-20cm sort of small, then I would say the FairyLand PukiPuki is the best posing in that size range though my FelixDoll Brownie comes in pretty close too.
If you are talking 20-30cm sort of small, then in my experience, the best posing in that size range is actually DBDoll's 1/6 dolls. However, the company now no longer exists so they are difficult to find, which is a real shame. The next best poser I've had is my Impldoll 26cm body.
If you were to venture into the mini size, 40-45cm, then I'd say the best posing in that size range is Angel of Dream. Just going again in my experience, AoD dolls do pose better than MiniFee. Coming in second there for me would be Doll Family. My Star is a pretty decent poser.

    15. I'm going to try getting my hands on a dollzone 29cm bb doll.
My ideal would be that body with littlefee head. There is a hug resin differences though but I still think its best for me.

I think that nice 20cm dolls are awesome too. Luts tinydelf 20 is awesome but I never see it around.
Anything minifee and smaller from fairyland is great.

    16. Fairyland's Pukipuki is quite small, posable, and gosh darn cute! They fit very well in a dollhouse and in your camera bag.

    17. Thank you! I'm trying to find a doll that not only catches my interest but also is possible, I'm still looking and have a while before I could afford a new doll but its fun to look around :)

I did have a pukifee and a realpuki, I really liked my realpuki but I didn't bond with her at the time. But I am definitely thinking of adopted another one :)

I've eyed PukiPuki's for a long time and am still trying to decide if there is one that I really love. Cupid is one that I love their faces but I'm still waiting before buying anything.

Sometimes my Nero can surprise me! I may actually be restringing her because her elastic is plastic and I know it dries out after a while. Have you ever restrung your girl? I was going to use elastic that had a fabric cover

    18. Thats really cool! Haven't tried a whole lot of posing yet but you inspire me.

We're neighbors, I live in Hagerstown.
