1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

BJDs That Can Wear NonBJD clothes.

Jan 28, 2015

    1. Last night I bought 4 full outfits for 4 bucks last night on Ebay because it was handmade Ken doll clothes. I feel so lucky that my Doll Leaves Kiki can wear them cause they can be so affordable so I am curious if anyone else who has BJDs that can wear other doll clothes. That I would love to hear about other 26cm girl dolls that can, considering getting my Kiki a girl.

    2. Well Dollzone's mini body (B18-01) seems able to wear a few fashion doll brands' clothes...I'm not sure about Doll Chateau's new 30-ish cm girls (Zora and Wanda), but they seem slim enough so probably?

    3. Oh wow their bodies look like Monster High or Everafter. Interesting.

    4. I haven't handled the DC girls yet (my order hasn't arrived ;^; ) but the DZ girl poses like an actual dream, 10/10 would recommend (despite a very limited selection of heads)

    5. My Mystic Kids 1/3 girl is so slim that lingerie sets made for Tonner 22" American Model Fashion Dolls fits her perfectly!

    6. I did the measurements comparisions on the dollzone and doll chateau, they almost the exact body size as Monster High and Ever After. I wish their faces weren't so fairyish.

    7. My Hujoo Phoebe is able able to wear some barbie dresses. They fit a bit big though, so I've been wanting to see if the Ever After High clothes are more her size.

And if you don't like the faces, you can always research which resin matches dolls from Dollzone and Doll Chateau and get a head from a different company. :)

    8. My Resinsoul and Bobobie 26cm girls are wearing barbie clothes. They're not quite as busty as barbie and some of her clothes have too low a cut on some of the tops for childlike dolls, but it works.

    9. My little Lumedoll Blaze wears Ken clothes. He can also wear clothes for Hot Toys action figures and Magic Cube figures.

My slim minis have a lot of Tonner fashion doll clothes, although those aren't really cheaper than actual BJD clothes...

    10. My Bobobie March wears Sparkle Girlz clothes perfectly. They're styled for tweens and young teens, so they're not low cut and slinky.

My two Phoebes and my Freya can all wear some Stacey and Moxie Girl clothes.

All of them can wear some Barbie clothes, but the legs on the pants are REALLY long on the little ones.

    11. humm there r key chains which are small shoes.. some can be worn by dolls..

    12. Zuzu Delfs can wear some Blythe clothes! :)

    13. Some fashiondoll clothes (like Tonner clothes) will fit Fairyland MNF girls and/or Chicline girls. Depends on the cut and the fabric and also if the MNF girl is large or small bust.

Also some Monster High clothes and Blythe midi clothes can be worn by Iplehouse's PIDs.

    14. Despite the amount of Liv clothes I know I have lying around, I can't get my Bobobie Isabella into most of them. She does fit SOME Barbie pants, I found a pair that had been big even on my Obitsu's, and they fit her like a dream, even allow for her to post easily. So it's a hit or miss.

    15. Barbie and like-sized clothes can sometimes fit the BBB/RS tinies, which are slimmer than YOs; I've found that pants and skirts from Build-a-Bear's mini line (which seems to change names regularly) can be quite cute on my LTFs. And my MSDs have an assortment of old Friends 2B Made clothes (which aren't a perfect fit, but good enough).

    16. Soom's mature tinies like Aren can wear Barbie perfectly. Not Doll Lab Lucy can wear all of Tonner's Kick-its stuff just fine. Even the shoes fit. Also most Tiny Betsy clothes will fit.

With the exception of my large busted MSDs, some Ellowyne clothes work but not all, also Faith & Friends, Friends 2 B Made & Kish Chrysalis clothes will fit. My larger busted girls can get away with the stretchy outfits for Ellowyne & Evangeline Ghastly

My Customhouse & Peekswood girls fit Tonner 22" American Model clothes with the exception of straight skirts & pants. They can also wear a few Cissy things.

One of my favorite things is to try on other doll clothes when I get a new doll. I'm often amazed at what fits.

    17. For the MSD range, the Mattel "Teen Trends" clothes fit quite well (I bought a doll insanely cheap just for the clothes ^^"). As Gwydion said, with the Tonners, it is hit and miss, e.g. the Ellowyne Wilde clothes that fit tightly on these dolls are too tight for my Obitsu, but might fit a slimmer MSD. "Comfy" clothes and wider pantes are ok, though.

    18. American Girl things generally do not fit, they are too wide. However, if you have new tights, they might fit MSD sized dolls (tights must be new and never stretched out by an AG doll). If you have any laying around it might be worth a try. Some Pullip and Taeyang hats also fit MSD sized dolls.

    19. I also have tried to let my IH JID Asa wears non-BJD clothes. She can wear AZONE (50cm) Kimono, Although the sleeves are a bit long but else fit her perfectly!

    20. The JID girls can wear the 18 inch BFC ink clothes nicely, and those clothes fit other MSDs.
