Can Volks SD16 boys wear Dollshe boy shoes?

    1. So, it turns out that the SD16 boy cannot wear SD13 boy shoes. I was figuring this would be the case, but I DIDN'T forsee that I would have an "accident" and chip the sole on one of my Yukinojo's boots. T_T Kind of makes it worse if it's your doll's only pair of shoes. I've managed to fit him into the one pair of Custom House shoes I have, but only just barely.

      I got Hound measurements from here, and he and the SD16 boy appear to be very similar (I took measurements of my doll). On the basis of the length measurement I found, 8.7cm, shoes that fit Hound should also fit my SD16. BUT, can someone give me a measurement for Hound's foot at the widest point? I want to be sure the fit will be okay before I buy anything.

      Also if Hound owners have recommendations on places to get shoes, I'd appreciate that too, in case my Gideon can wear them after all.

    2. The widest point of Hound's foot is around 3.5 - 4 cm. I bought a couple of shoes and boots from Luts. They have a list, though small, of SD and SD13 shoes that fits hound. You may want to email them and ask for the list. Anywhere else, even cheerydolls or Iplehouse, are selling shoes from Luts, so you may as well go directly to Luts.

    3. Yup, hound has SD13 boy sized feet, so I don't think they'd fit Yukinojo. Even though he's new, there's bound to be some shoe makers who should start catering to his bigger feet soon. I'd just fix the chip as best you can and sit tight until some one starts making the bigger shoes.

    4. Okay, that's strange o_O I dug up Hound's measurements and they were listed as 8.7cm foot length. That's definitely larger than SD13, and larger than my SD16 (I got about 8.5cm). I guess the measurements were wrong.

    5. Hmm, I could very well be wrong. ^_^;;; I don't own a Hound, I just keep hearing people say he fits into sd13 shoes.

    6. I have also heard that Hound can wear SD13 shoes... I am sure that Volks (and others) will soon start making shoes for SD16 boys.

    7. Hound's feet measurement is around 8.7 cm but to be safe, I always go for shoes with at least 9 cm internal length. Not all SD13 shoes fits him; only a small list of them do.

      I'm not sure about SD16 but you may want to ask Luts about this matter. They are very helpful people. ^^

    8. He fits in SOME sd13 shoes, definately not all of them.

      His ankles and calves are bigger than SD13's, so you have to figure that in as to the type of shoe that will fit.

      Most lace up shoes will fit, some short zippered boots will fit, very few tall boots (unless they lace up) fit him.

      Posh Dolls has a few pairs of shoes and boots that fit him quite well. And. looking at the Volks store this weekend, quite a few of the Volks shoes appear as though they would fit well.

    9. I am really interested in a pair of dress model shoes for my Yuki..... I sure would like to know if they fit ok before I order... any and all advice would be welcome! Edit.... also any other shoes that fit him well? Especially dress shoes?

    11. OK! I have tried Isamu's (my Kyle Reese) Cross Boots on Sevon (my Yukinojo). Here are my findings:
      • The Cross Boots are longer than the default Yukinojo boots by about 1cm
      • Sevon's foot fits just fine in the Cross Boots, and leaves about 1cm gap from the back of his heel to the end of the boot. It is also very roomy in the front, because Yukinojo's foot is rather broad and cannot fit all the way into the narrow point of the boot.
      • Sevon can stand perfectly in the boots
      • BUT... as a word of caution, the default Yukinojo boots are already grossly out of proportion to the Yukinojo body, and so the Cross Boots also make him look like he has long feet.
      • I think this problem can be remedied if Yukinojo wears reasonably baggy pants, like his default pants, but I'll have to get back to you about that, as Sevon is still in his tight leather pants xD

    14. I am new to this. Just bough a Yuki from Japan he is in transit just now but I would like to start looking for outfit for him. Just wondering would DOI, Leekeworld, Luts senior delf/super senior delf and Dollmore model shoes fit him? I need help!
      Clothes as well where can I get some I know Cherrydoll and Dollmore. From the threads i read basically clothes hound fit would fit him but long at sleeve and length of pants right?
      Please help as I am complete new to the boys bjd world.

    16. my yuki can wear SD 13 boy clothing some clothing, not all but a few jean pants where long enough. I have a few volks outfits that fit him fine. and the hound shirts are huge on him. I have one, it's super baggy. I just try on different company's clothing for SD 13 boys, most of the clothing works sometimes the long sleeve shirts are a little short. its all experiments.

    18. Loose/Big/Baggy SD13 shirts made of stretchy materials should fit him. =.= Adrien can squeeze into most but they're always short in arms.
      Snug and tightish Model clothes from Dollmore fit. Like the hoodies, they're actually quite good ^_^
      Vier4d has SD17 stuff... though they sell out alot. Your next option would be wait out for Volks to release more SD16 clothes! Also, Raphael has baggy clothes that would fit,even though its SD13 sized.
      Really, its more hit and miss when it comes to him. I honestly have no clue about pants, since he's in a pair of Volks SD16 pants... but maybe Dollmore? o.o

      Yukinojos, although gorgeous.. are a pain in the ass to dress! Adrien's wardrobe consists of next to NOTHING!
