1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Carry bag

Jun 8, 2025 at 5:42 AM

    1. I got a carry bag back in 2022. I'm gonna be taking one of my doll out for a photo shoot very soon so to be on the safe side when I take her in the bag should I also use the pillow bag she came with to store her in the carry bag?

    2. Whatever you feel most comfortable with! The carry bag I use for MSDs is kind of big & not very padded, so I use their box pillows to add extra protection. On the other hand, my carry cases for my mature tinies are hard shells that have straps to hold the dolls in place, so I don't bother with anything extra.

    3. I like to use the pillows or a blanket, mostly to give the more frail parts like hands or fantasy parts, more cushion, and also keep resin from being scratched by the zipper.

    4. I carry mine about in my workaday backpack with just a face-covering to protect the faceup. It's really down to what you feel comfortable doing with your dolls.

If they are smaller dolls or I'm taking several, I'll put them in a cushioned bag to keep them together and from getting jumbled up among the other bits and pieces in my backpack.

    5. When it comes to my Pocket Fairy (1/8) she didn't come with any sort of padding at all, just a paperboard box with elastics. So when I take her out, either to size props/fabrics or just to play, I wrap her in a microfibre towel and secure her in a pouch that's just big enough to hold the swaddle - it's basically a small toiletry/cosmetics bag, but it works for her size. Then I feel safe putting her in my bag.

If you feel a little unsure, always err on the side of caution. It's better to be overcautious than underprepared. If you'd feel more secure knowing she's in her pillow bag, definitely use it. You could always do a test run inside your house with just the doll in the carry bag - walk around for five or so minutes, see if she wiggles around a lot or if the bag feels flimsy when a small amount of pressure is applied to it (say leaning against a wall or standing in a line with someone who stands a bit too close). If it does, you definitely want the extra padding.
