1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Cerberus Project, Fairyland and Luts relationship

Sep 18, 2008

    1. I was wondering, is CP moving from Luts to Fairyland? It seems like Fairyland keeps getting some of the delf mold from Luts. Or are Fairyland and Luts both in contract with Cerberus Project for their dolls?

I hope this is in the right zone.

    2. They can't move delfs, because of luts owns them.

    3. Both are in contact with CP. I think the Delf line belong to Luts, but the molds belong to CP. We'll probably see Feeple versions of the more popular Delf heads. The delf size goes to Luts. Hence why they're called Feeple [Insert name here] and not Delf.

    4. Thank you two. :) I've been wondering about it for a while.

    5. Fairyland actually are Cerebus Project, as I understand it. Luts has recently said that Delf won't be moving to Fairyland, as they were involved in the creation of the Delf dolls, and so partly own them (or something, it's complicated XD). But Cerebus Project did the sculpting for the Delf dolls, and thats why you see minifee versions of them.

There's a thread somewhere around here explaining the relationship between Luts/Cerebus Project/Fairyland...

    6. CP and Fairyland are parts of the same company. CP does the sculpting, Fairyland does the selling. CP used to sell their sculpts through a few different companies but eventually only sold them through Luts. Luts owns the brand name "DELF" but CP still owns the rights to the sculpts.

Fairyland/CP can sell whatever CP sculpt they like but they can't call them Delf. They don't make a 60cm body, only the Feeple 70cm body so it's easy to differentiate them...until all the heads and bodies get swapped around by the owners.

    7. Ah, wrong post =A=. please excuse me.

    8. The way I understood it, CP own the rights to the Delf heads they designed, but the name 'Delf' belongs to Luts. CP are the design group behind the doll company FairyLand. So CP/FairyLand can't bring over Delfs, but they can reproduce heads that they have created and designed.

    9. i am assuming that fairyland considers their version of breakaway a different doll than the one that was released by luts. its on a different body, and neither head is a vampire, there is a dreaming version, and both are open mouthed, which i think makes it different then the recent luts valentine breakaway

but it seems luts considers "breakaway" and anything under that name, theirs to sell?

i am assuming the comments in the luts statement referring to a time when fairyland has done something similar is their vampire moon option head, and possibly the mnf woosoo

im not sure how the two companies will resolve this though

    10. NM. XD; found the answer

    11. So i have done some research and found that LUTS DELF's can fit SD13 girl clothes and shoes,
but then the term CP came up. And after CP came the term VOLKS*_*
And somewhere between the first forum i read to the final one i was absolutely positive that i was
      confused!:...(

So my questions are, what is a CP? What is Volks? Im sure they are doll types or companies?
      :doh
lol I am so confused but eager to learn!

Also Can anyone post picture (or tell me where to find photos) of a LUTS DELF wearing SD13
or SD10 attire (clothes, shoes, accesseries) so that I can have a better idea of which size fits in which
places. For example, I found that SD13 girl shoes and SD13 shirts fit the boys but the SD13 pants
      do not.

;)Come on guys you are all the best so help me out! Thank You!

    12. Volks is the leading Japanese BJD company, while Cerberus Project has designed the Delf line. This is sold through Luts (still get it? xD). Volks and CP/Delf are doll companies, Luts is merely a doll distibutor.

You can find a measurement table on this board and check if they fit. I don't really think they do though, but I'm not really a Volks expert ^^"

    13. Thanks for the info! (yay!)

    14. also would it be correct to believe that SD10 boy pants will fit my Delf Lu-Wen?

    15. That is not entirely correct.

Volks was the first company to make ABJDs as we know them. Their dolls come in different sizes. The larger doll catagories they make are all Super Dollfies and are known by the size terms SD, SD13, SD16 and SD17.

Luts is a company that sells brands of dolls made by different companies including some lines that are owned by them. The original 60cm line known as Delf were sculpted for them by a company called Cerebus Project (AKA CP). Cerebus Project now has it's own company, Fairyland, to sell their sculpts. Luts owns the Delf name so nobody else can use that term for thier dolls. Fairyland can still use some identical head sculpts but they are sold on a different size body (70cm) and they are called Feeple.

As far as I know none of the new sculpts in the Senior Delf or Super Senior Delf line have anything to do with CP. Maybe someone knows more about who is doing Luts sculpting, I do know that several of their head were sculpted by Yuna - she has here own company called Pixydoll and she has made a few heads for Crobidoll as well.

If you have questions about clothing to fit a Delf boy please see the thread that already exsists about that subject in this sub-forum. If you have a very specific clothing photo request feel free to start a thread in the Gallery sub-forum called the BJD-opedia. :)
