Children Dolls

Jul 9, 2025

    1. What child like dolls are your favorite? I have a littlefee and love how she poses. I've also seen beautifully sculpted dollshe children and iplehouse.

    2. I really like Dollmore Alexia & Narsha. And the long gone Custom House petite ai's are the posers of modern dolls but really sweet faces.
Also love the little fees & have looked a bit at the beautiful dollshe kids but they're a different aesthetic than my collection which has saved me. :)

    3. Nearly all of my BJDs are children. It's sometimes difficult, for 1/3 size especially for the giorls because of the preponderance of curvy/mature bodies in those sizes despite many of the face sculpts being child-like, so I have a lot of hybrids using the few child-like bodies in those sizes.

I do like the LittleFee bodies, but I also like the "Big Baby" dolls like Volks DearSD and Luts Baby Delf (which I think they have now discontinued) that arer 1/4 height but young child proportioned - like younger children in the 1/3 scale.
This is my BabyDelf body with an old Custom House Ai head:

I can't share pictures of the Dear HD girls as they have off-topic (repainted Disney Animator Rapunzel) heads.

The flat chested Unoa Chibi body is also a good child option (some of the faceplates are very childlike and the others can be painted to look younger too), Dollmore Narsha is around the same size, and I had a couple of the old Custom House Little Lunior Ai in that size too. The boys are idea - the girl bodies needed the boobs sanding off but worked once that was done. The MinoruWorld junior bodies are also in that size range too, and also worked well for children. I like the proportions of the Alice In Labyrinth 1/4 dolls too - nicely childlike, but they have a one-piece torso so no joints in it.

If you want a REALLY big child doll - there's the 80cm dollmore Lusion dolls (big enough to wear real children's clothes and shoes (much less expensive than shoes made for the dolls!) BUT for girls I'd advise getytign the boy body and modding off the "boy-bits" as the girl body is disappointingly curvy/mature in shape, wuith a little waist and a definite swell out for the hips. I've disguised it on mine through the styles I dress her in, but if the boy body had been available when I got her, I'd have gone with that. It's an option I've used for some of my 1/3 sized girlas as it's far easier to remove the "boy bits" than it is to remove boobs from an overly mature female body.

    4. Oh my goodness I completely forgot about the dollmore kids. I love Alexia. Petite AI Uriel is also cute as a button, I didn't know about those dolls.

Thankyou for all the good information. I didn't know about the Volks DearSd dolls and OMG THEY ARE SO AWESOME. The Tiffany is especially darling. I also really like the Lusions, my favorite is Dell and I agree the girl bodies are way too curvy.

    5. I
Beautiful! I love the iplehouse kids and didn't know about the racoondoll kids. I love their realism.

    6. The longer I'm in the hobby, the smaller my dolls get. When I first started I wasn't at all interested in the child dolls, but now all my purchases are either children or anthros. These are just some I've seen or bought.
Secretdoll is one of my favorite companies, they have Ming, Meng, Mong, DoReMi cookie, Mini, and Tommy.
Migidoll has several sizes of children.
Luts has some cuties, I have several Tiny Delfs.
MyYou Doll has the 1/6 and 1/8 sizes plus Big Baby at 42cm.
      DollLeaves has children and infants.
      So does Dream Valley,
and Soom, I love their Nappy Choo.
Dreamhigh Studio came out with some elf children.
      Meadowdolls.
      Moppiedoll.
      Aimerai.
      Irrealdoll.
Plus there are some quirky teeny tinies that may not be on-topic, I haven't checked,
      from Elicoco Doll and
      Yesmama Doll.

    7. If you mean 1/6 scale I love my Littlefees, iplehouse bids, and my one from Harucasting. My Harucasting Zzang is my profile picture. I have a few other yosd but they are not as common or easily available. I have a lot more 1/8 dolls, I love Lati Yellow, pukifee, withdoll bwd, and a couple others.

    8. Do you have a certain size or scale you're looking for?

I think the easy answer is Volks as all their smaller dolls are on childlike bodies :sweat - yoSD, MSD/SDM, DearSD and SD10 (although sometimes styled more mature, it is still supposed to be a body of a 10 year old).

Dollstown has several child bodies and heads (5yr, 7yr and elf bodies).

If you like DearSD, there are several similar-sized dolls from other companies - you'll want to search for "big baby" or "big BB".

If you like big dolls similar to Lusions, Spirit Doll has some 80cm and even bigger 125cm ones.

    9. YES! How could I forget to mention those. I have several, bioth hybrids and full DollsTown dolls (and another on the way).
The three seated dolls are (LEft to Right) hybrid on the DollsTown 5Year body, DollsTown Alina on 5Year body, DollsTown Alina on 7Year body, The standing girl in the red dress is another hybrid, this time on the DollsTown 7Year body. I like the bodies a lot BUT they are terrible at holding a pose unless you suede the joints and/or wire them. The Elf body is taller, makes for a great "gangly" little girl of the sort who has started to grow taller but hasn't started to develop yet. Mine is another hybrid:

    10. There are a couple companies that make Paola Reina sized dolls in yosd proportions, they are around 32/33cm. The ones I know of are Raccoon Doll Paola Reina’s Friend and Siso Doll 5 Years Old.

    11. About children dolls, I think it's so hard to find little eyes for them.
I bought a lot of eyes at aliexpress but most of all are bigger than I need...

    12. Volks in general is more childlike — I have one each of SD10, MSD, and Yo-SD. It’s weird because I tend to like more adult looking dolls, but something about Volks was irresistible until I had one of each. I’d actually love to get a second Volks MSD someday— one of my bigger doll goals (if I ever have the chance) is to go to their store in Japan and get an MSD with the full choice system.

My other favourite childlike dolls are Luts Kid Delfs. I only have one (not sure if the second on the way counts since I got the slightly more mature KDF45 body for her), but I could look at pics of these dolls all day. Most of the company photos aren’t too interesting to me, but user pics of Kid Delfs often have so much life and character.

    13. I've got a couple Volks DearSD, and they're as cute as can be! They're a nice size for holding and carrying around, not so small they don't feel substantial and not so big they feel unwieldy. The two I have feel like different ages, too. Megu feels more toddler or maybe preschooler, but Violet's narrower face reads as a few years older.

      Here's the two of them:

    14. I'd love to someday own the "young" versions of Volks well-known dolls such as Williams. But my first prio is their older forms! But the young ones are so precious little scrunched down versions so I def hope to have one of them some day.

    15. Dollmore Zihu - I like the proportions of her torso and legs and the cute plumpness.

      My Claudia-Nicolette for an idea:

    16. I'll always have a soft spot for Volks Yo-SD line although those are not common really unless second hand market or the rare times they sell them as LEs. I have a Volks Yo-SD Kun and I love how light she is, how small she is (I can fit her into a large purse or tote if I get tired of carrying her), and cute she is to me.

For similar sized to Volks Yo-SD, I forget the name of the company but my friend has one and it is so tiny and sassy looking. My friend used to keep her in her purse and sneak her into work and would look at her when she needed a little break. I also liked the Bambicrony and Luts lines that are also similar in size.

But...oh gawd...I fell hard for the Volks DearSD line. They remind me of my porcelain doll collecting days with their chubbier bodies. But the biggest selling point for me is how much lighter they are compared to my Volks SD10s, SD13s, and SDGrs especially now that I've been living with chronic pain for a couple of years. And the fact that a lot of the SD sculpts look so good on these DearSD bodies makes me adore them more as it feels more like they are the younger versions of my SD10s, SD13s, and SDGrs compared to if they were in Yo-SD form.

I do regret not getting any of the Luts Baby Delf line (can confirm they have been discontinued) as I was debating about getting one or a few as they appeared to be equivalent to the Volks DearSD line, but of course with the Luts style. I think I only saw one or two ever in the secondhand marketplace and they were swooped up very quickly. I think it has been a year or two since they have been discontinued.
